Not in my adult life, but as a child, our house was broken into while we were on vacation.

I recall being very scared when we came home. Felt very violated, even as a young kid.

The f'ers even stole my little piggy bank, that probably had a very small amount of change in it.

The police found out who did it (a neighbor a few blocks away), but nothing was recovered.
