As for why I chose it, there's a few smaller things which in the end add up to big things. Firstly I managed to get it for 40% off retail price during the EOFY sales. Samsung refusing to support Dolby Vision takes them out of the equation. Panasonic OLED isn't available in Australia. I do like Sony TVs, but I couldn't get them for anywhere near the same price. Plus smaller things like I already had an LG mount on the wall that had 30cm x 30cm VESA spacing (I didn't use the included mount as I didn't want it flat), and I didn't have to reprogram my harmony remote. Also I just think that for mixed content use I really like the way LG TVs are setup with the settings keeping per input, per display type (SDR/HDR/Dolby Vision). |
