I was wildly disappointed. Watching her stand there, barely moving, resorting to reading her own lyrics from a multitude of teleprompters that rose from the stage depending on her position onstage seemed lazy. One would think that an art piece of this magnitude would warrant months of rehearsal, and in turn, enough care to memorize the lyrics the artist herself wrote. She also seems to have no interest in writing songs with melodies anymore. Hard pass.

Fair enough not to be interested if you don't like her artistic direction lately, but the show is beautifully staged and will no doubt make for a lovely home theatre presentation. But, chastising her for having a prompter in case she needs it isn't so different from giving out about a pianist or violinist using sheet music.
