Nabbed the game for $12. So far so good, especially for a price like that with the AA production. The game has some pop in and the mechanics are slightly buggy. But it's def worth it at that price. Having fun with it.

As for a standalone sequel release, I'll buy that for a dollar (or 12).

Sweet! Didn't know this was in the pipe! Might have to do a replay for when it releases.

Well maybe the consistent pixelation that happens in the games cut scenes on the PS5 will finally be fixed with this new expansion, because the PS5 version still hasn’t received a patch to fix the issue and it’s been over a year since the game was released. Currently the PS5 version is horrible to play and isn’t worth the money due to the pixelation in cutscenes fault/defect, the Xbox Series X and PC versions of this game don’t have the issue so the experience is better on those platforms, and I will choose to always play this game on the Xbox Series X while the PS5 version remains broken.

For the sequel, add a 3rd person choice so I can play the game as Robocop and see him onscreen at all times during gameplay. That would be cool. I want to see the hero character interact, walk, fire, punch, all the stuff that make the Robocop movies fun to watch.

Imagine in the Robocop movie, it was all first person during the action scenes? At least the game has cutscenes with Robocop. That helps.

The cutscenes look like garbage on the PS5 though because of the consistent severe pixelation issues that occur during the cutscenes on the PS5 version. The PS5 version is unplayable due to this fault in my view.

I picked up the plat on the base game, and tbh, on further reflection, it was pretty awful

I thought the game was okay but the boss fights were atrocious.

I just picked this up today for $7 on PC. I'm only on the second level but I'm enjoying it. It feels like a real game, and that's not something I experience much these days from mainstream titles.

Decent game. It def got to what Robocop is about. But the character model pop in on each cut, the dialogue and VA and the damn final boss was brutal and takes points off this.

I'm having the same feeling about this as I did with Terminator Resistance. the core gameplay is fun, but I would've enjoyed it more if it was a linear campaign instead of a poor man's rpg

You mean because some of the individual maps were semi open? In Terminator I mean, I haven't played Robo Cop.

They should have made this in third person, so that you can see him lumbering (and shooting like a gunslinger from the wild west, like in the movie), but like most western devs they don't want to because first person view is just easier. Money-pinching cowards. Could have been rather interesting navigating him through the dense environments sometimes, actually. Make the controls more complex than in other games so that positioning him and then proceeding feels mechanical. You watch the objects fall over as his body, like a forklift, rams through. Not to mention bullets ricocheting off his frame. All the sparks. Yeah, first person view is completely wrong for RoboCop. We love the character and want to see him.

What's the point of making it all so pretty if none of it is interactive? The overused slow motion door breaches are especially lame because a game in which you play RoboCop should let you move through walls more freely.

Wouldn't really feel like RoboCop even if I placed a more interesting filter over the whole picture. When will I stop shooting at punks who look like parodies of late '80s culture? Henchman voice actors are so bad in most games. It's the same few all the time, and you can tell that they were aware they were in a booth when they screamed, because they're not real screams.

Ugh, again with the selfless berserkers. Seemingly every shooter since Tomb Raider 2013 has these suicidal morons who run right at the gun-toting hero because the devs don't know how to make a good gunfight. Here they carry propane containers. It's so stupid.

The investigation is completely thoughtless. Just hold right mouse button for clues and follow the objective marker at the top of the HUD.

Draws his button holes on with chalk in the morning.

What’s worse is the cloud of dust and debris every time you breach. Thank you for taking away my vision so now instead of four seconds to kill everyone before a hail of bullets comes my way I have one.

I wandered and wandered in this mandatory space, not noticing the small circle over the breakable wall. Finally I found that I could go through by opening the map. This is not real game design. Devs mostly don't even know what that is anymore.

The wall doesn't even stand out in all the photorealism. There is debris all over the floor, so why should the wall stand out? They could have concentrated the debris more in front of the wall, at least.

You can't tell me where all that debris came from. The other walls look fine.

I have spotted RoboCop's torso and limbs clipping through each other in some cutscenes. How do you screw that up in a game in which the character is not made of muscle and flesh and not covered in clothes?

[Show spoiler]

As an occasional forklift operator, this is egregious. Did they not think about what a forklift is actually supposed to do? I couldn't do squat with those short, thin forks. A pallet? Nope.

I wish video game spaces were more economical, from the perspective of people living in the virtual world. Just a few benches, yet the space is huge.

Laughed out loud at this response.
