So far these aren't really for me. The H3 steel art actually looks pretty cool~but I already have the 4k and I don't go in for buying multiple of the same format. Hoping there are some more reveals to come...

I'm still not 100% sure it'll be announced today despite the listings as it doesn't exactly scream October, and feels more like a a November title. We'll see when they go up at the site later on.
It's up on movies unlimited as October

Some solid releases. End of Days is a much wanted release. Now we need someone to release the 6th Day. Should have known Black Sunday would be the Bava 4K release.

I am a little confused - so a Chinese Ghost Story Trilogy is just a bluray? I was under the impression that all of these HK films were 4K discs?

Was expecting (hoping) Nosferatu The Vampyre (1979) 4K would be announced and here it is! Wasn’t expecting Black Sunday (1960) 4K, but will grab that one too. That’s all I can afford for now. Will pass on that Halloween III steelbook.

All 4K restorations at least, but I guess they don't feel all of them justify the format itself.

That's a shame, the first one of the trilogy is near and dear to my heart.

Huge Childs Play fan, really wish that steel was the old VHS cover. You know the one, where Ebert calls Chucky a mean SOB.

This one looks like he has a bad eczema rash. He never looks like that in the first movie! Really, in any of them.

Chinese Ghost Story for me but may just but the cases in the old Nova Media box. Don’t like that box artwork either

I'm thinking just the Ringo Lam/John Woo/Tsui Hark directed stuff may be 4K. The rest of the catalogue will likely be blurays and bluray boxsets, unless there is a well known actor in the films (like Jet Li in Swordsman 2 or Chow Yun Fat), perhaps those will also be 4Ks.

Really excited for Catch-22! This Mike Nichols 4K-naissance of late is pretty sweet!!
The 'Catch-22' sweepstakes are over.

Everybody has been projecting that one as a release for all the labels for years.

Those in the know - what are the chances of one of the UK labels having Catch-22?

In all seriousness, I think it's probably not likely a UK label will release it. Paramount only started making deals with UK labels again, namely Arrow and Eureka, and I feel there's many other bigger Paramount films they'd prioritize before this one.

Default Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

Only three Scream Factory titles and those are Blu-ray upgrades. Halloween is cancelled, sad to say.

I was figuring Criterion for Catch-22 "some time" - surprised and pleased that Shout picked it up (it's been on my 5 Most Wanted for years). Hopefully they will be able to include the terrific DVD audio commentary with Nichols and Soderberg.

Yeah, I had it down as Criterion. I asked Kino about it a few years back & they replied that they'd tried to license it, but it was already licensed out, & Criterion was the only company I could think of, esp. with the l-o-n-g wait time.

I hope it gets a UK release, but as it's one of my most wanted titles, I won't mind spending an arm & a leg importing it.

Yeah, I love Halloween 3 so much, but I already have the original steelbook. Don't feel the need to upgrade. Although, I will admit the new steelbook looks pretty cool.
