If Lionsgate plans to do anything with it, it’ll be next year for the 20th anniversary. I’d love a release to match the House of 1000 Corpses box we got last year.

IIRC, that box had the same VC-1 transfer as the 2007 BD.

So I’m guessing this isn’t getting a 20th anniversary edition like House of 1000 Corpses did. Bummer.

With this being Lionsgate I hope it doesn’t because it will be a Lionsgate Limited with a premium mark up for the same old transfer that can only be bought on one site.

It doesn't, which is why I kept the DVD when I picked up the blu-ray. My data base even has a note to myself not to dump the DVD for that reason.

It was more or less confirmed this and, I believe, HO1KC, will both be getting 4K releases from the Limited line. It was in some thread in the 4K forum.

Mine shit the bed a couple years ago. Only play about 20 minutes of the movie then nothing. It’s probably worse now. Thankfully I kept my DVD for the doc. Movie badly needs a new release.

I haven't had any issues with my original copies of House or Devils. I also bought the Target exclusive steelbook in 2020 but I believe those are newer discs.

I’ll take a box set of all 3 films on 4K, even though I don’t really care for Three From Hell.

I would buy a boxset with all three films if that gets us the first two on 4K. I saw the third film once...and once was enough.

I'm assuming the ones that have bronzed were from the initial pressed batch. Everything else after the initial batch should be good. Only question is there anyway of knowing by looking at the disc or box if it's the initial batch?

Before you check it this time, when was the last time you had watched it? Was was it months, years?

I watched The Devil's Rejects between eight and ten years ago.

I watched House of 1000 Corpses yesterday and the disc played without issue. I figured, Well, I'll watch the sequel.

Both discs were manufactured back in 2006 and 2007. (They are some of the first Blu-ray Discs that I purchased.)

The R-rated cut is available on iTunes for 4K. Nothing for the unrated. Maybe there will be a physical release soon?

I think they have the license it's just a case of them not bothering to include a second disc for it because they're cheap. For House they couldn't bother to make a new disc for the new commentary so they made it Vudu exclusive.

If they do decide to make a new release I could maybe see them include it as a bonus though. It might be soon based on the digital.
