I assume that the big B&N sales are done in a financial arrangement with B&N, since Criterion promotes the sales themselves on their email lists and social media. Kino might do the same? Perhaps they give B&N a rebate or other lower pricing to move more units during the sales?

With Amazon being the other mass market retailer who sells a lot of boutique BDs, perhaps both labels do something similar with Amazon? Maybe?

The Criterion ones I've seen are WM price matches

Are the Texas Chainsaw movies limited? I always get confused with how Arrow names them. Anything I should worry about selling out and not being able to get with them?

Yes, they are limited editions for the Slipcovers and Booklets in the first pressings. Standard editions without those will be issued later on.

The Arrow sale is definitely happening at B&N, the sale is showing on the Arrow page on their site with an end date of 9/14. No price changes yet.

Last pre-order I did with them was shipped a few days before release date (this was a couple of weeks ago)

I heard the Jason X 4k is pretty wonky with the way they transferred film to digital and did those early cgi effects, sticking with my blu. Also I didn't think Friday 2009 was much of an uptick over the blu. I think Arrow's Torso blu looks pristine, stuck with that as well.
I don't think theres any sales really worth a damn till Oct.

Just received this message from OrbitDVD after reaching out to them about an order that was cancelled right after I placed it:

"Hi there,
We've noticed that most items you receive seem to be below your standard[sic] and are being returned. As we are a brick and mortar store and small business small scuffs and damages can happen, we feel it is best if we discontinue selling to you. We wish you all the best.
Best,
Orbit DVD"

I requested to exchange one item recently that was dented and have never been anything buy friendly to them including always offering to cover shipping any replacements. I mean I didn't dent or damage anything if that's what they are implying. More money saved I guess I get they're are a small business but it's not like I'm Elon Musk. Anybody else experience something like this with them? Did Shout buy them?

They sent the wrong item to one guy and then wanted to charge him the difference when he pointed it out.

They're getting a bit testy with me right now because the Deadly Spawn UHD I just received is all scratched up, and they're pushing back saying "did you try wiping it", "does it play?" etc... I paid $70 for this sucker, I'm not settling for a banged up coaster here.

What's worse is I had a pre-order of the The No Name Trilogy UHDs from Arrow and the US Dark City UHD and they cancelled the entire order even though it was months old and would've been shipping soon. I was wondering why all these refunds started showing up this weekend. I thought it was for the tariffs. So now I'm out those four titles since they are out of print already. I assume the item I sent back to exchange was also refunded around the same time and won't be sent to me and that item is nearly out of print. Pretty horrible to treat a customer that has been buying from them for years in such a way. I might be picky but I was never rude or even argumentative. I don't think I'll even bother re-ordering elsewhere the five titles I ordered last night and that was cancelled right away.

I won't go into reasons why but I no longer do business with Orbit. All my orders/pre orders are with Atomic.
