For this set all depends on Warner’s requirements, they could have asked they only be in a set together in which case the standard will drop the physical extras and shift to a thin cardboard slipbox. If that was not a requirement, the standards could very well be each movie as singles, and since Trick ‘r Treat has set the precedent of later limited editions, potentially a SteelBook for the first movie at this time, it’d certainly sell well so hopefully it happens if that’s an option for them.

I doubt it would go down like this, but it's funny to imagine the movies all getting individual LE's a year from now, and everyone dumps this set so they don't have to have the third movie in their house, lol.

I'm good with the regular limited edition. I prefer having the theatrical poster art over the comic book design.

I'll preorder it from Amazon when it becomes available. I'm not gonna prepay 65 bucks only to potentially see the price drop in the next few months.

Most boutique labels package this way, and many film fans prefer it. Vinegar Syndrome put Prophecy 1-3 in a single case, and the number of people that were upset in that thread at them not having separate cases definitely outweighed the number of people that were glad to have them in one case.

Studio releases definitely got people used to things being packaged slim and cheaply, but even then many prefer getting ongoing series as singles to avoid going from a box set to a single, as they don’t like the visual look of that on their shelves.

Ultimately it’s all personal preference, but no way they can please everyone, and at this point physical media is a collector’s market for the most part so boutique labels especially lean towards the fancier packaging. Be aware these launch sets are limited editions also, they will get followed by cheaper standard releases often about 6 months later give or take, but most likely the movies will still be in separate cases given this being a boutique label.
