June 27th. If it's anywhere as good as Black Bird it'll be a must watch.

Agree but the trailer really didn't do much for me.

Default Episode 1 & 2

I watched the first two episodes of this and it's a mixed bag. The concept is great, but my main issue is the cast. I don't know what Taron Edgerton is doing performance-wise, and his accent is awful. Jurnee Smollett isn't much better either, as she's just acting like a man, and it's very awkward. They reveal at the end of episode two that
[Show spoiler]Taron Edgerton is one of the arsonists
. While interesting, it kinda felt like they let the cat out of the bag way too early. I'll definitely check out the rest of the series, but I feel like this could've been a lot better. We shall see.

Default Episode 3

We're only on the third episode, and we're already getting an entire filler episode. Not a good sign. The show seems to be spinning its wheels. I can't believe this is going to be nine episodes, it honestly probably should've just been a movie. I'll stick with it because it's a miniseries, but I'm not impressed

The writing on the show just keeps getting worse and worse, which is shocking because Dennis Lehane is a fantastic writer. Every episode is nothing but misery porn. I can't stand these characters, especially Jurnee Smollett. She's so smug and her fake laugh is obnoxious. Taron Egerton's character has become a full-blown parody. I'm baffled more and more each week by this show. It still feels like we’re crawling to nowhere.

After the previous brilliant Lehane show on Apple+ I expected better. This is just a terrible show all around.

This show officially went off the rails once it was down to one arsonist (and the other one was completely forgotten). Thought there were a lot of meaningless details and character history that were never followed up on but supposedly they were to set up future seasons, but I don't think this show deserves more.
