Pure guess, maybe 30,000 for the Blu and perhaps the same or less for the UHD.

It's a shame they dubbed him in the actual movie. Although I really like how David McCharen voiced the character, James Saito sounded just fine in the original trailer.

Do these things ever sell out before release date or am I fine waiting for their August/September announcements to combine orders/shipping?

Honestly, it all depends on the title. I can't imagine them not having enough copies of a franchise as huge as TMNT, where it would sell out by release. Then again, you could argue that a franchise as big as TMNT could sell through whatever their allotment amount is because it's so popular.

Nobody expected the LE of Dark City on 4k to disappear as quick as it did. It was, pretty much, gone by release, or on back order with no guarantee on more copies appearing, and now some people who preordered are still waiting, with no clue whether their orders will be fulfilled.

A few nitpicks I have with Arrow Video.

Their annoying intro videos often have audio mixed way too damn hot, especially obnoxious when the intro video audio is not remotely close to the average movie audio level.

Same problem for Menu music, it can be too damn loud too.

In regards to print runs, I understand there are several factors that influence the number of units manufactured for any given title, such as negotiated quantities with the rights owner or estimations of demand do not align with reality.

They make more money with LEs, but the LEs have various logistical factors that influence how many they do make.

Making far too many units and having them collect dust on store shelves has a cost and can incentives lowering pricing to a degree Arrow feels diminishes the typical initial street price.

They could and should mitigate LE shortages for titles that clearly have sufficient demand by increasing prints and even doing reprints sometime down the road.

It still annoys me that they do not include blu-ray copies withe 4K releases.

Then for the standard releases they drop discs from them, which I strongly detest especially when the LE are not readily available.
This practice undermines fans who may have missed the initial LE run and it makes scarce information that future film fans who have yet to discover the movie and may enjoy when they do learn of any given past releases.

I see no reason why not, when the time comes to release these individually.

Unless it's UK only, which this isn't, then the Arrow limited sets are always functionally Unlimited in size. When they run out, they will make more of this limited set for several years. OOS or on backorder doesn't mean it's out of print never to be seen again. TMNT limited edition will only be limited by some preset date, not by some edition size. The only question to really ask is how many were printed on the the first run.

Could the actual actor act in English if so why did they dub him over?

Yes.
Jet Li speaks English, but they still overdubbed his voice for Mulan. Sometimes the producers want a certain type of voice.

Took me a minute to remember that there was a live-action remake. I was thinking. "How the hell you get overdubbed in a cartoon???"

I went and saw the movie again and can now do a more detailed description of the Fathom pre-show and featurette....

PRE-SHOW

The pre-show of the Fathom event starts 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the movie and includes the following commercials and trailers:
  1. World Wildlife Fund commercial
    https://www.worldwildlife.org/

This one was puzzling. Did the World Wildlife Fund sponsor this event because the movie stars turtles?!

  2. Domino's Pizza commercial
    https://www.dominos.com/

It starts by showing the Domino's pizza delivery scene from the beginning of the movie. Then it says "Turtle Powered By Domino's" and ends with "Turtle Mania Lives".

  3. Letterboxd commercial
    https://letterboxd.com/

  4. IMDb commercial
    https://www.imdb.com/

  5. ScreenRant commercial
    https://screenrant.com/

  6. Fathom's Big Screen Classics 2025 trailer

  7. Studio Ghibli Fest 2025 trailer

  8. Fathom Fan Favorites: Spider-Man Trilogy trailer

  9. Unmatched Adventures: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles board game commercial
    https://restorationgames.com/shop/un...ninja-turtles/

  10. IDW Publishing commercial advertising:

    1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin II--Re-Evolution comic
      https://idwpublishing.com/products/t...i-re-evolution

    2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Vol. 1: Return to New York comic
      https://idwpublishing.com/products/t...rn-to-new-york

    3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Original Motion Picture Special Edition: 35th Anniversary comic
      https://www.amazon.com/Teenage-Turtl.../dp/B0DZ1WXV4V

  11. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown video game commercial
    https://turtlepedia.fandom.com/wiki/...tical_Takedown

  12. Warcodes app commercial
    https://warcodes.app/

  13. Unmatched Adventures: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Extra Toppings Miniatures Set commercial
    https://www.miniaturemarket.com/unma...k-reo9324.html

Then the featurette plays at the scheduled start time of the movie...

FEATURETTE

The featurette runs around 6 1/2 minutes long and has two parts: the alternate ending and a preview of the upcoming "TMNT: Evolution, Mutation & Reboot" documentary.
  1. The featurette starts out by showing the alternate ending first seen on the German DVD. The quality was the same as the German DVD and had the "G.T. PRODUCTIONS" watermark on it. For whatever reason, they didn't tell the viewer what it was so, if you're wondering what it is, it is the alternate ending.

  2. Isaac Elliott-Fisher of Definitive Film then introduces himself. He was one of the people behind the "Turtle Power: The Definitive History Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" documentary and the upcoming "TMNT: Evolution, Mutation & Reboot" documentary.

While collecting materials for the documentaries, he says they found behind the scenes footage and most of the dailies for the movie. While he is speaking, behind the scenes footage is shown and it says "Excerpt From Evolution, Mutation & Reboot Documentary" at the bottom of it.

He then shows three deleted scenes found in the dailies. While the deleted scenes from the dailies are playing, there is an audio commentary by director Steve Barron and Isaac Elliott-Fisher. They discuss the making of the deleted scenes that are shown.

    1. "Alternate Intro"

A manhole cover starts shaking and blows off.

Barron says "If there ever was a director's cut, this would be, that blowing of the manhole cover, would have definitely made the cut."

    2. "Casey Jones First Appearance"

The introduction to Casey Jones that is directly from the comic book.

Barron says "That could work in the film."

    3. "Shredder Show Of Skill"

Tatsu ties a bandana to Shredder's shoulder. Four members of the Foot Clan (one of which is Sam Rockwell) then run at Shredder, trying to remove the bandana from his shoulder. All four of them fail and are knocked to the ground.

Barron says "It's supposed to show how amazing he is and you can't touch him."

The source of the dailies is VHS but not as bad quality as the alternate ending on the German DVD and the dailies don't have the "G.T. PRODUCTIONS" watermark on them.

Then more behind the scenes footage is shown. This time we see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird visiting the set.

The featurette ends with Isaac Elliott-Fisher telling the viewers that "for a very limited window" they are selling the upcoming "TMNT: Evolution, Mutation & Reboot" documentary, a coffee table book, and Playmates-style action figures on their BackerKit:
    https://tmnt-evolution.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

He ends by saying: "Join us on BackerKit before it's too late. For more information, go to www.definitivefilm.com".
The credits on the featurette:
Quote:
Archival footage provided by:
  • The Archives of Peter Laird & Kevin Eastman
  • Mirage Studios
  • Michael Pressman
  • TMNT: Evolution, Mutation & Reboot (Definitive Film, 2025)
If you can't make it to a screening, the dailies with the Steve Barron/Isaac Elliott-Fisher audio commentary and the behind the scenes footage are supposed to be included in the deluxe version of the "TMNT: Evolution, Mutation & Reboot" documentary:
https://tmnt-evolution.backerkit.com...eorders/677415
