This wasn’t terrible. I’d give it a C. Laughed a few times, enjoyed the Mya cameo, etc. It did feel “small” though. Looks like they only had 20 extras for the party. But that was probably due to Covid filming restrictions.

I wish the original House Party would finally get a blu ray release. It really is an underrated comedy with a hilarious cast.

A minor gem I spotted that I enjoyed, was the opening New Line Cinema logo, which is now done like the old school one at the start of the film. I remember watching the original House Party with my mom in the theater in 1990 and seeing that old school New Line Cinema logo at the start of the film. I thought that was a nice touch on WB/NL's part.


I enjoyed the film simply as a popcorn type of film. I'd say it is slightly better than House Party 4: Down to the last minute.

Watched this afternoon after recording it off HBO the other night. Pretty much as expected, but could have been so much better if they just paid off 3 gags in the end credits instead of that not funny blooper real.

First should have been

[Show spoiler]finding Odell Beckham in some freaky sex dungeon after he fell through the floor.

Second should have been

[Show spoiler]getting a call 3-4 months later from Mark Cuban to pay off the illuminati scene.

Third, show or have

[Show spoiler]someone read out Cudi's poem to LeBron.

Not a complete waste of time, I did laugh a few times.
