I don't perceive it as a dig. But it is telling that even something as good and acclaimed as Astrobot, that's an exclusive, sells similar amounts in a longer period than a 3.5 year old port from a competitor.

Wiki says Astrobot is one of the PS5's best selling games. I don't think folks are buying it for the exclusives anymore.

Moon Studios isn't owned by Xbox but the two Ori titles came there first so I figured I'd drop this here. Concerning No Rest For The Wicked.

I was interested in the game, and probably would have bought it. But if it’s not coming to Xbox, then I won’t be buying it.

I have and completed Starfield on PC. It's an okay game, but Bethesda's cut/paste style is really starting to wear out is all I'll say about that game, along with their heavy inspiration from No Man's Sky and the trap of 1000 boring, generic planets to explore. The main story is at least better than anything from No Man's Sky's attempt at story. It's not a terrible game, but just lacking compared to Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and 4, New Vegas, etc.

Decided to give Hellblade 2 a go on PS5.

Finished it on Gamepass last year.

Anywhoo along with the sequel, the first game got released & upgraded & is free if you bought the game on PS4 back in 2017. PS4 saves do not carry over so no easy Plat here. I checked out the 1st game 1st to see improvements. It’s basically a match with Xbox SX now. Choose Resolution + PSSR. (You have TSR/PSSR as options) if you care about quality, if not go with FPS, Pro can do 100fps here.

Thankfully the 2nd game booted up in 60hz. For those unaware HB2 is 2.40:1 aspect ration & also for those unaware PS5 has “raised blacks” in 120hz output for any game. Good on Ninja Theory or whoever for knowing about PS5’s 120 problem. Anyway, you have 4 graphic options in HB2. I messed with all of them.

You got 30 with TSR (Games Default btw) + 30 with PSSR, 60 with TSR & lastly 60 with PSSR. I’ve been going through the game with 60/PSSR. The biggest difference between the 2 upscalers is PSSR does a better job upscaling fine details on Senua’s clothing making her outfit appear sharper.
Image quality is better in 30 mode with PSSR at the expense of motion blur. Switching to 60 “almost” eliminates motion blur but not 100% It’s good enough I would say. If motion blur doesn’t bother you, I’d probably recommend that 30/PSSR mode over 60.

Lastly HB2 got a new Trophy!! So forget about getting a platinum.

You basically have to finish the game,
Play it again on the new difficulty you unlocked,
Finish the game without dying 4 times.
If you die 4 times, your save is erased.

I'll have to see what all of the games are being released onto PS5 from XBox.
Is there a Halo collection arriving soon for PS5? That would be interesting for FPS fans, myself excluded.

Gears of War, that was a nice addition for PS5.
Forza Horizon 5, very nice.

Microsoft, please bring MS Flight Simulator 25 to PS5 soon. I hear that can be played offline but at the cost of the graphics.

Can't think of much else other than all of the exclusives for MS ported to PS5 eventually for those interested.

Blade the game I want to play on PS5 in 2027 or whenever/if ever it's completed.

I'd strongly wager Master Chief Collection comes to PS5 with a period of exclusivity for the Halo remake before coming to PS5/PS6.

Gears of War also having something similar happen albeit they have that remaster already announced and looking great I think more are on the way.

Enjoying Hellblade 2 Senua’s Saga.

I like intense situations like this and The Callisto Protocol.

Not too sophisticated in the melee combat department, but I prefer it sometimes

I’m glad it came over to the PS5

Although it's liked generally, I easily think it's an IP made to be shared in the sense it doesn't really add to the Playstation IP as a unique icon as say Drake, Kratos etc. and it's quite a repetitive GamePlay loop too which lends easily to going multiplatform.
