The Bad Guys 2, the sequel to the 2022 film, will be released in 3D next year, on 1 August 2025.

Well at the very least I'm glad DreamWorks is still putting out titles in 3D, even if the conversions have been a mixed bag.

Will catch this in 3D next week. Definitely a prime target for Turbine to go with the Random Space Media 3D release of the first movie

Saw this movie in 3D tonight. Both the story and the 3D are a real step up from the original film. Highly recommended, and obviously really hoping for a Turbine release of this next year.

Just saw the movie, story gained some craziness and fun, really a nice moment.
3d was mostly depth as the first one except the last 30 mins where popouts finally really arrive and ends the movie in beauty ��

Fantastic sequel and the 3D was fun.

These characters are really likeable. I love 'em all but Mr. Shark is a favorite. Cracks me up everytime.

Echoing what everyone else has said, this is a real gem of a movie and an excellent sequel.

The stereo conversion was again enjoyable and added a lot to the experience. It is criminal that DreamWorks fired their stereo team after Boss Baby 2, they would have done amazing work with this style.

I won't say Dreamworks Animation is back, but The Bad Guys 2 is the closest to back they've been since Puss in Boots 2. The depth budget is leagues above its predecessor, which is easy to see because they replay some footage from the first film. You can see much milder the 3D was, and how much deeper it's become.

The film is also animated with much more Z-axis movement. The opening car chase is a stereo delight, lots of fun POV shots and zooms. But for the middle of the film, the 3D is a bit more "just there". That's where I lamented the loss of Dreamworks Animation stereo team, as there just isn't same level of 3DNA baked into the film.

Until the finale. The finale is the best 3D set piece of any 2025 film thus far. It has 3DNA for miles. It's like they specifically designed their entire third act to wipe the floor with a certain 3D blockbuster

Sadly there were no 3D showings here in Mexico, even 4Dx theaters showed it in 2D. The same happened with Puss in Boots - The Last Wish back in '22.
Often we only get IMAX 3D showings so when the movie is not shown in IMAX the odds of getting it in 3D are very few. Elio had like one 3D showing for a couple of days and then none. Even JW Rebirth had few 3D showings but at least I could catch one on its first weekend.

What gives me hope for the format is that this year we got a lot of 3D movies in theaters, don't you think? I feel like there's been more than in the last few years. There's even two upcoming 3D re-releases this year (at least in the US) with Jaws and Paranorman, so maybe 3D isn't as dead as the haters say.
