Not half as shocking as also realizing that his mom might actually have been schtooping a giant alien squid, and without the benefit of a genetic paternity test, he may in fact himself be half intergalactic alien squid. My Umbrella 4K freezes at two points (52:58 and 1:39:11), then skips ahead a bit and starts playing again. The disc has several visible flaws in the plastic material (KK Mexico pressing) but no scratches, so it's most probably not an issue with my Panasonic player. Trying to get it replaced.

P.S.: I had ordered the disc from JBHiFi in Australia. They refunded the order value. Highly recommended!

Umbrella is having a B1G1 free sale right now. Anyone have any 4K or Blu-ray recommendations to go with Possession? I guess I'll go ahead and snag the Umbrella version since there hasn't been any Second Sight news and I kinda worry that they might use some revisionism in their restoration like they did with Texas Chain Saw.

Last Wave looks interesting but it's out of stock.

4K releases of RAZORBACK and DEAD END DRIVE IN are still only available from Australia? I’d go with those. Also SUPER MARIO 4K. And new release of TANK GIRL looks good. Their release of MAD MONSTER PARTY uses a new restoration that hasn’t been released elsewhere.

Has it been confirmed whether the included BD has improved encoding from the previous Umbrella release, or is it just the same encode?

Amazon has the Umbrella release of Possession on sale for $33.49. It should be the 4K with 2 cuts according to the ASIN number matching in the BR.com db.

I've never seen or heard of this movie until now, but from what I've read through this thread, the Mondo thread, the Second Sight thread, comments on the internet, watching the trailer... I should not be disappointed!
