Oh I LOVE this film, day one! Didn't think we'd see any more Danny Kaye on Blu-ray!

Hope Imprint can pick up the Astaire film Let's Dance too as the Region A Kino Blu-ray is the only disc release in any format it has ever had in the world, and it's a belter of a film.

No special features, not even a trailer, barely even a menu. Picture quality to me is excellent, I'm not sure it's a new restoration (probably a 2000s 2K DVD master) and I think it's sourced from a 35mm interpos rather than a full size VistaVision frame. But colour is lovely (lots of deep reds that looked bad on DVD), stabilisation is perfect, general appearance is film-like and encode isn't bad. Don't expect High Society results but it's still a really nice disc for a film of its vintage.

It's probably the only Blu-ray release it will ever get anywhere so I'd just jump on it. It seems like a title ViaVision licenced for the Imprint line, but just threw out quickly to get rid of it before their Paramount deal expired and because they seem to be steering away from classic Hollywood generally.
