All Creatures Great and Small

I'd forgot that the fifth series of the All Creatures Great and Small reboot could have been starting soon on Channel 5, so I was surprised (in a good way) when reading the new issue of the TV listings magazine I get. It starts a week tomorrow (Thursday 19th September) at 9 pm - 10 pm.

It was great seeing the show back for it's fifth series, as well as seeing

[Show spoiler]Tristian return (hopefully Carmody comes back sometime).

Have read today on the All Creatures Great and Small Facebook page that the new Christmas special (following the fifth series) will premiere on Channel 5 on Monday 23rd December at 9 pm.

Read earlier today on the official Facebook page for the revival series that filming started today on the sixth series (that answers a question I had about whether the show had been renewed for a sixth series).

Great news, this is one of my guilty pleasures.

Wasn't sure a reboot of this would work at all, but life always seems a bit better when a new episode is available !

It's been I think one of the channel's best programmes (hopefully a Christmas special will be filmed as well, following the last few years). There have been German Blu-ray releases of the series.

There is a feel good vibe with the All Creatures revival/reboot, reminding me of when watching Heartbeat.

Never ever liked Heartbeat, maybe I should go back and try it again now that I'm older and (allegedly) wiser lol.

All Creatures series 1-5 is on DVD just under £60 on Amazon. Might consider it on blu-ray but wouldn't pay that price for DVD

Great stuff. Thanks for posting this bit of news CandT. I don't know how long ago it was during this summer, but I read on Facebook that filming on series 6 had finished (assuming the new Christmas special was filmed with it).

Have checked the official Facebook page for the show, and they made a post on Thursday last week (21st August) where they shared a post by Channel 5 (now called 5) that included some pictures from I assume the new series.

Haven't checked Amazon.de to see if the fifth series has been released on Blu-ray.
