I don't think £45.99 is crazy in comparison to similar small boutique labels in the US (eg Re-Animator on 4K). Free UK delivery too which must cost them £5+.

I'm guessing they need that money to survive. They seemed to have made a big effort here so if people can support them they should.

I already have the non-exclusive edition pre-ordered but I might go for the site exclusive once I study it a bit. Those censor marks look like they could be seen from a spaceship so that'll be part of my decision (hopefully it's some sort of j-card).

Selling direct though saves them the 50% or higher discount they have to give the likes of Amazon to stock their titles so selling direct is massively more profitable. Having web store exclusives also helps generates sales.

These is why all the independent labels should offer free postage to gain sales as still more profitable after covering the cost than selling via a retailer.

Very few offer free postage no matter what the order amount and most have quite high thresholds to get free U.K. postage.

Went with the store exclusive. I thought about all the laughs Dan O'Bannon has given me so it was easy. Lovely guy.

Cancelled HMV and I had that for £31.99 that was my very last 20% off voucher too so doubly painful.

My copy of Australian behemoth The Keep was posted today too so it's an expensive month but a lot of fun too.

Just charge it to the Underhills.

So wait.. this isn't the edition Diabolik and Orbit are selling, then?

Site says release date is 11/3.

WTH is going on here?

It's funny, I've been curating my physical media library for 42 years now, and while many titles have survived the migration from VHS to LaserDisc to DVD to HD-DVD/Blu-ray to 4K, many many movies have dropped off here and there, between this format or that format...

Dark Star was great on VHS.

Yes, they seem to have 500 just for themselves. I like the 500 cover artwork way more than the vanilla case too. Reminds me of the beautiful Japan release:

It looks like they don't ship internationally.
