You're going to like it.

Believe me when I say there is nothing like it in film. I'd say it's better than 99.99% of ALL cinema.

Shout should offer a discount when you buy from them and tell them to keep the posters. Especially ones of their new artwork.

Yeah, a little pricey, but been waiting for these films too long to care that much. I'm hoping Shout ships Hardboiled REALLY early like they did with City on Fire. If I'm watching this in 4-5 weeks, that would be pretty awesome.

I still remember that intro battle scene where it's just pure chaos. Gangsters getting shot, cops getting shot, birds getting shot, and tons of civilians getting shot. It's always interesting in a lot of action films where not many innocents get taken out, but not in Hard Boiled. No one is safe and the scene where the criminals just start shooting people who were in their way in the stampede has always been stuck in my mind. Can't wait to revisit this one.

If you cannot wait and want to catch it on the big screen first, the Roxie Theater in SF will be showing it this Sunday: https://roxie.com/series/hong-kong-cinema-classics/

Nothing for me but Hard Boiled and A Better Tomorrow Trilogy. Man, their horror offerings have really suffered, though, and their steelbook art is still absolute crap.

Same here. I'll buy more shelves if I have to.

I agree alot of their original art has been bad, same with Vinegar Syndrome, they both have some of the most atrocious art. But sometimes they both will deliver banger covers, just depends.

I hate the AI vibes I’ve been getting on some Shout designs lately. Looking at Renfield right now.

I also hate that I get the vibes at all.

Yeah, I really don’t want to be “that guy” but I’m debating writing shout! To complain, lol. Their art has been sooo lackluster lately

There's no guarantee that Arrow's art for the Woo films will be any better - look at Outland. Yikes.

It’s true, though I’m still going to wait to find out.

I also just simply prefer Arrow as a company.

I'm not going to complain about the films since I haven't seen many of them

But I think I should be able to complain that they promised 25 releases and only released 10.

Yeah that’s a little egregious if you ask me.

You probably missed this:

With that said, things constantly change. A little over a month ago, the Shout Official said it would be 14 titles announced specifically today, but that went down to 8. I'm assumng the 2nd one will be September 29th for the December releases, unless they're doing something separate as well, as part of their Scream Factory 13th Anniversary celebration too.

Pre ordered Hard Boiled & A Better Tomorrow trilogy but from Diabolik. I would’ve ordered direct but I really don’t care about those posters & I saved about $40.

Tbh I'm not excited for Hard Boiled either as the gun-focused action movies tend to be dreadfully boring for me. Watched The Killer last year and it was easily one of the worst movies I watched last year. Only so many ways to shoot someone before it gets boring. (I also dislike car chases for this same reason, only so many ways to take a corner quickly before it gets boring)

Happy for everyone else! Love that this stuff is being preserved and released in the US! But basically the entire HK Classics line is gun-heavy action films which... is just boring for me.

The Killer & Hard Boiled are two of the greatest action movies ever put to film. Just pure adrenaline, excitement & heroic bloodshed
