Nintendo Today has confirmed Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Classics will have Custom Controls possible BOTH on Switch 1 AND Switch 2.

Good. I’d complained when it was first announced as being Switch 2 only that there should be zero technical reason to lock button remapping to the new console.
