Depends on the cashier. I think some of the employees are not aware of their own policies for sale. I called one of the stores and they told me the the double points were only for books.

4 titles shipped to the homestead and surprisingly they included the tote. It’s a nice sturdy cloth bag and much nicer than I figured.

I had a less than great experience shopping for ARROW at my local B&N yesterday. This is a big location with a large media section, but they only had 3 Arrow titles in the whole store (Cobra, Poseidon, Swordfish). Hundreds of Criterion and a dedicated endcap for the Paramount titles that were on sale though. The website showed they had Cruising 4K in stock, but it was nowhere to be found. The guy at the information desk even went upstairs and looked for it. He said that specifically 4K titles always go missing at their store. People ask and it shows it in stock, but someone is obviously stealing them, either internally or externally. He ordered one for me online with free shipping to be delivered to my house. I would've ordered a second if they had the tote bags in store. Kind of wished I had now that I see B&N is shipping orders with them, but no big deal. Before the sale is over I might ask them to transfer a copy of The Stuff from another location in town so I don't have to drive there or order online with a shipping charge.

Woke up at 5am this morning and ordered Lost in Space for store pickup. Just went to the store in hopes of grabbing a 2nd title for the tote bag, but the only other Arrow title my store had, I already owned. Talked to the lady at checkout and explained how I had already ordered 3 online, but their store selection sucked (i put it much nicer in person), and she was kind enough to just give me a tote bag.

Same, I hit up two Barnes and Noble stores and both had a very minimal selection. One wasn’t even out, just behind a cabinet. One had some sale stuff in a bin, but no paramount and the other didn’t have one at all.

Yeah, he said they started putting some of the 4Ks behind the checkout counter for that reason. One downside to that is if someone is just casually browsing the shelves they won't see the item and you miss out on impulse purchases.

I liked the old way they used to do it with the enclosed section for discs and a dedicated employee who knew the merchandise. You had to purchase everything in that department and couldn't walk throughout the store with the items. That helps deter theft.
