Just thought I would also say in the UK 88 films is releasing Evil Laugh - Its still in stock with VS too but its got nice artwork.

I'm very interested and hoping for a goodie for the big 60!

They should do a 4K upgrade for Return to Horror High since it seems no US label is interested in releasing it in the states.

That's not remotely true.

There is an ownership dispute over that film, which is why it hasn't come out.

My understanding is 88 licensed it from one side before the dispute kicked off.

First time I’ve heard of this but it totally makes sense as to why it hasn’t been released.

Hopefully the dispute can get settled sooner than later so we can get a nice 4K of it at some point.

Brad from TerrorVision discussed it on Discord, but I can't find the exact quotes bc Discord's search system is useless sorry.

Just been looking at some slasher lists - what are some of the more obscure / harder to find ones on disc?

I was so close to picking up Deadly Dreams Code Red on ebay a few weeks back and then missed out on some other auctions too which at the time really really annoyed me haha

I hope to 2026 has some good new to disc slashers for all of us. Looking forward to seeing what Terror Visions has in store for Shoe String Slashers volume 2 - Brad mentioned an 80's supernatural slasher is going to be in it. So fingers crossed for something cool.

Also for films with no immediate Blu release would it be worth picking up (if possible) older DVD copies such as Stepfather 2, Cheerleader Camp, Bodycount etc? as i would love to have them in my collection one way or another.

I think what's holding up many of the unreleased slashers on blu is either rights issues like Bodycount or a lack of useable materials. Add into that the potential sales figures too, some slashers like gialli are obscure for a reason. They failed to find an audience back in the 70's or 80's some will struggle still.

Today, out of the blue, I remembered another slasher that has been trapped in vhs purgatory. Backwoods (1988). It's been a long while since I've seen it, but I remember it being pretty solid, if a little slow. I also seem to remember that it was unusual in that it managed to elicit sympathy for the killer.

Was looking at the german blu-ray of Psycho Cop and the 1.85:1 version looks weird, on closer inspection it's been restored using AI...

Somebody here mentioned Demon Warrior some time back, which sounds really intriguing (as well as a big inspiration for the recent Deer Camp '86.)

I can't believe I'm not even able to find a cruddy copy on YouTube.
