Could be great, could be terrible. Hard to say from that trailer. The Oscar bit was the only part that made me laugh, & that might be purely down to familiarity.

Not sure about Domhnall Gleeson doing an American accent either. Could get old very quickly. Why bother when Tim Key isn't?

Oh Oscar, you're on Peacock now, they CAN use that.

I always think it's a little odd when they cast actors from other countries to then just have them play an American. Unless them being from America is a specific character trait from their backstory like maybe growing up in a small town in Texas or something or if it's a real person, then I don't see why they don't just let people use their normal accents.

I’m wondering if there isn’t much substance to the up and coming American talent pool. lol

What a relief, I thought this thread was about the Australian garbage series, but the trailer for this show looks pretty good.

Release strategy pivot: instead of releasing the season over four weeks as originally planned, all ten episodes will be available for full season binge on September 4th.

That said, I was hoping we'd get Season 9 of the Superfan episodes ahead of The Paper's premiere. I only just watched The Office for the first time via the Superfan episodes on Peacock, and they haven't added the final season yet. Season 8 released back in December, so you'd think they'd be ready by now?
