Halloween Season of the Witch, one consistency was the robot goons in suits were relentless terminators too, like Michael Myers, after the hero. Then he found their weakness.
With Michael, setting up a death trap seems to be his only weakness. So he's after the hero, and then he walks into the trap and dies. The trick would be showing he's smart enough to sense something is off, and stop before getting captured, then the hero having to improvise. Maybe have that "How will we trap Myers" as the new twist. Like Halloween Kills. What if they captured him and had his mask removed? What would be underneath? Would evil somehow find a way to escape? I think maybe that was covered in one of the movies. Just set it in the past and have a new character that he goes after and they can repeat that "Death Trap" formula for awhile. Quote:

I know most people wouldn’t like this but I would like a new Halloween film that has segments of Michael before Halloween 1963 and during the 15 years he was locked away. I think they can do a good job with it if done in the style of the extra TV version footages of the original film and not in the style of Rob Zombie remake.

What's interesting is he's seen driving a car in one of the movies. I wonder if he could get his own car. Maybe a 1970s muscle car could fit his character. He'd sense his prey was leaving town, hop into his car and peel out in their direction.
I'd also be interested to see a character show him a new Star Trek Captain Kirk mask. Or maybe Michael would consider trying on a Spock mask to change things up. Screenshot 2025-09-04 232927.jpg Quote:

![]() I think Myers is controlled by an evil being or supernatural force, for him to be so patient and only focus on one thing. |

The intrigue of Corey is that he would've been a new kind of boogeyman/Shape. He's got whatever evil Michael definitely passed onto him in the sewers. But he can talk and he can act like a normal person. It makes him a different kind of dangerous since he can operate in the open, hiding in plain sight, unlike Michael. The film could have had done something different like Corey operating in a big city, with plenty of potential victims on every corner. You could even have him still after Allyson and explain that she left Haddonfield after Ends. That would also explain Laurie not being there so the franchise could move on from Jamie Lee Curtis. One of Carpenter's early ideas for Halloween 2 had Michael stalking Laurie in a Highrise apartment building. If it didn't work, then they can just scrap it and do a reboot (which is probably what they're doing now). I know. That's why I love the Halloween franchise more than any other horror series and the original is one of my favorite movies. Michael is just an empty void who kills. But that's also been Michael's MO for the last 47 years. I wouldn't mind at this point if they gave something else a try. Again, if it didn't work they could always reboot which they're doing now anyway. Last edited by BloodshotUSA; Today at 03:18 PM. |

Myers is kind of like this in the original film when he toys with his victims during the “Speed kills” scene and later on when he follows the girls by car. I think it would be interesting if they focused more on Myers as a serial killer and not so much as the boogeyman. He’d still have that supernatural element about him and he could referred to as the boogeyman, but the direction of the series could be more suspense thriller than horror. There are several scenes in Zodiac that have some good suspense and creepiness and I think that type of feeling would work well for the Halloween franchise. |
