Asked for a replacement for a release today that was missing a booklet. Apparently that's not classed as 'faulty' so they were only able to refund me rather than cough up a few quid to post me another one. Doubt I'll bother anymore.

I bought KURONEKO for £8.00 minus booklet which was fine.

Yeah I’ve been through this on previous pages - unless they specify that it includes one, they don’t care.

Obviously if its something in a larger case and there’s clearly empty space in it because they missed a book, you’d probably have them there.

Their returns service is free, so if you really want it you just gotta keep sending it back and re-ordering. Wasteful I know

I picked up a couple of blu rays from cex the other day, all pretty cheap.

Cruella
The Boss Baby
The Conjuring
The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist

Also a dead copy of the Hurt Locker.

One thing that made me laugh was the guy behind the counter telling someone that a graphics card with GDDR 6 memory is not complatible with DDR4 and 5 ram in a pc.

Does anyone know if - when the listing doesn’t mention booklet, slip etc. - they actually would check if it still has it on a return?

Not a chance. If it left an enormous gap in a box set they might notice.

I enquired about cancelling an item that has been stuck on ‘picking in progress’ for a few days as I got it on eBay, got this response:

To avoid any hassle for our customers, stores retain items with printed covers for in-store sales only, allowing customers to inspect the condition before making a purchase.
So that’s something positive r.e. the printed covers issue.

Very disappointing that its The Bride With The White Hair - who has been abusing their Eureka titles to that extent?!

Explains why I keep ordering stuff and it’ll get cancelled yet still show as in stock anyway

Bought what I thought was the Arrow Video blu-ray of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer yesterday with a couple of other items. Only when I got home I found it was the 2011 Studio Canal discs inside. Annoying because now I have to go back to the shop today.

I'll probably end up buying even more stuff...

That will more likely be disingenuous customers putting old discs inside newer cases so they can get a better trade in price, the overworked staff aren't going to know the difference unless they're Blu-ray collector's themselves.

There is always a massive queue of people selling stuff in the 2 shops I frequent (Edinburgh and Liverpool). It's no surprise things like this get overlooked.

I buy a fair bit from CEX. I got into the BD / HD a bit late so sometimes they are the only shop offering a title apart from eBay which is usually overpriced. I think I'm going to try their trade in service from home soon.
