Default Factory Girl on Blu-ray or HD DVD?

http://www.apple.com/trailers/weinstein/factorygirl/hd/

In the trailer for Factory Girl (2006) it says MGM (= exclusive to Blu-ray) and Weinstein, (= exclusive to HD DVD) so will it be on Blu-ray or HD DVD or maybe both??

That would be MGM.. This isn't the only Weinstein title MGM has distributed. They also did Lucky Number Slevin.

Look for the distribution rights in the US. If it's MGM, then it'll be Fox. If it's Weinsteins, it'll be ... open right now.

The same thing with The Holiday (which I just saw today). In the US, it is released by Sony PE. Everywhere else around the world the distribution rights change either Sony PE or Universal.

I am bumping a six-year old thread because there doesn't seem to be any reviews or anything for the Canadian Blu-ray, released in 2011.

http://https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Factory-Girl-Blu-ray/19457/

Anyone seen this Alliance edition and want to give a report? It is a little disturbing that Polyhedron is the only member from this thread that has posted in the last year.

Does anybody here have anything to say about the Canadian blu-ray? Is it any good?

I'll see your 6 year bump and raise you a 7 year bump because there's no thread on the recent Aussie release. Wondering how the Canadian Bluray 2011 compares to the Imprint version.

Just knowing in general many of those early 2010s Canadian BDs, they likely used an HD transfer struck for HDTV distribution (cable mostly). That necessarily doesn't mean it looked poor but usually a bit less impressive than your usual Hollywood BD of the era.
