and then I realized they probably would've had some notes about the bonus features in the specifications, so there all but goes that glimmer of hope. a set full of janky 5.1 remixes, none of the featurettes from the "Remastered Deluxe Edition" DVDs ported over, and probably even the Apple TV+ edits of You're in Love... and It Was a Short Summer... is going to be a tall order for that premium price tag to fulfill Last edited by WaltWiz1901; 08-29-2025 at 08:26 PM. |

I wish they kept special features as separate disc though. |

I'd pre-order it but I can't really afford to get it at its current price right now though. |

Not including any of the bonus documentaries made for the dvd releases feels like a big misstep. It couldn't have taken much effort or disc space to have them and they would've provided some good historical context for the creation of the more iconic specials and their evolution as the decades passed. It's baffling to me that they aren't there. I'd rather have those than a booklet filled with stock art and bare minimum information.
That image of the back cover likely confirms that there won't be anything because there should be a disclaimer about them not being in HD if there was. |

seeing how they were able to press replacement discs for the first disc of The Flintstones BD set (one episode erroneously had the music track omitted), I suppose it wouldn't hurt to contact them...if and when we get confirmation that those specials are indeed based off of the Apple TV+ cuts

I am glad this is coming out for those that need the lot.i have every special -every movie -every mini series ever made -on DVD or Blu ray or 4k as in the holiday bunch.a couple are pirate dvd's-the girl in the red truck for example-but it looks great very nice cover.so I will pass on this but hope everyone that buys it loves it

I wonder if The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show will ever get a Blu Ray release. It last had a DVD release around late 2012/early 2013 and it was MOD.

Now $84? Why don’t they just for for $100 while they’re at it, and for a number of lackluster specials too.

That's disappointing. I actually sold all my DVDs in preparation for this. Oops. I still have the holiday collection on Blu-ray, I'll probably hold on to those.

so they think the '60s-'80s specials having half-baked, phasey surround sound is enough of a hook for whoever will be buying this, but having them respectfully kept in mono and with the accordant retrospective/mini-docs some of them had on earlier releases isn't...? |

That's usually the case, one or the other. Still, disappointing.
