It's kind of its own miniseries.

maybe, just maybe, they'll be listed in the included booklet along with the specials?

and then I realized they probably would've had some notes about the bonus features in the specifications, so there all but goes that glimmer of hope. a set full of janky 5.1 remixes, none of the featurettes from the "Remastered Deluxe Edition" DVDs ported over, and probably even the Apple TV+ edits of You're in Love... and It Was a Short Summer... is going to be a tall order for that premium price tag to fulfill

Not unless we let Warner Bros know about those edits. They're pretty good with feedback.

This release is essentially for those who missed out on some of OOP DVD and just wants to get specials in 1 set.
I wish they kept special features as separate disc though.

My first Peanuts physical media to ever buy was the 4K holiday set and that was back in 2020. For some reason, I never got around to picking them up on blu-ray before that. So I'm really looking forward to the set, especially since I actually have only really seen the three holiday specials and not the rest. Its a shame they didn't give us special features on its own disc.

I'd pre-order it but I can't really afford to get it at its current price right now though.

Not including any of the bonus documentaries made for the dvd releases feels like a big misstep. It couldn't have taken much effort or disc space to have them and they would've provided some good historical context for the creation of the more iconic specials and their evolution as the decades passed. It's baffling to me that they aren't there. I'd rather have those than a booklet filled with stock art and bare minimum information.

That image of the back cover likely confirms that there won't be anything because there should be a disclaimer about them not being in HD if there was.

Considering they did include the bonus features on their discs of the Rankin/Bass Christmas collection, it’s also disappointing they aren’t doing the same here.

$76.99 is little too much; though $2 per specials (40 specials) on 1 set isn't too bad of a deal.
I might wait for sale (Black Friday) around $60.

seeing how they were able to press replacement discs for the first disc of The Flintstones BD set (one episode erroneously had the music track omitted), I suppose it wouldn't hurt to contact them...if and when we get confirmation that those specials are indeed based off of the Apple TV+ cuts

I wonder if The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show will ever get a Blu Ray release. It last had a DVD release around late 2012/early 2013 and it was MOD.

If it does, it'll probably be through the Archive.

Now $84? Why don’t they just for for $100 while they’re at it, and for a number of lackluster specials too.

It's nice that you get most of the specials in 1 release in higher quality.
That's disappointing. I actually sold all my DVDs in preparation for this. Oops. I still have the holiday collection on Blu-ray, I'll probably hold on to those.

$100 for just the specials, no bonuses whatsoever, and the vast majority of them with 4.1 more channels of unique audio than is necessary (and if they were ever going to remix them at all, the score stems the good folks at LMFP are issuing on their soundtrack albums are right there for them to use) would be even more of a rip than it currently is at just over $75

so they think the '60s-'80s specials having half-baked, phasey surround sound is enough of a hook for whoever will be buying this, but having them respectfully kept in mono and with the accordant retrospective/mini-docs some of them had on earlier releases isn't...?

Warner could have easily put ALL the bonus features on 1 disc without a problem; especially most of them were filmed in SD (I think).
I guess it's right issue or Warner just forgot and being lazy.

That's usually the case, one or the other. Still, disappointing.
