A few people asked about the Jazz players. We bought some of them in New Orleans and the rest in flea markets in California. You may also try the Internet.

I'm truly in awe. I've enjoyed your posts and advise for sometime now, but your system as well as everything else you do is quite an accomplishment. When do you actually get to enjoy the movies?

BTW, you mentioned a PhD in Econ, you are a professor or do other work with it?

Thanks for the kind words. I have a Ph.D. in Managerial Economics and a B.S. & M.S. in Engineering. I am a professor and also an engineer. Currently, I am on leave from teaching to write a couple of scientific and boring books. I finished one recently and I am dragging my feet on the second one. I do watch quite a large number of movies. As I said in one of the earlier posts, I sleep only one night a week.

Unfortunately, my Sanyo Beta VCR is not functioning properly and I can't watch it anymore. It is the only P. movie I own and I bought it for research and its historical significance.

I finally took my SLR camera out of the box and took some screen shots. I set the camera to B (bulb setting) and experimented with the timing. On the average, I used between 3 to 6 seconds for most of the pictures. I didn't bother that much with framing and I reduced the size of each image so that they load quickly.

Which screen? You have a dozen or so TV's

Those are some very nice screenshots BD! I can tell you're pretty handy with a camera too...do I see a photography sticky in the future?

It is the Epson 1080UB projector and Da-Lite 120" fixed frame screen.

Thanks John.

I have as many cameras (film & digital) in my closets. A few of them are still in their original boxes.

I used to be a good film photographer, but haven't done much in the last few years. The screen shots were my first attempt. When I have some more time, I will take more professional looking pictures and frame them properly.

Incredible Images,Big Daddy.Your Screen Shots are some of the Finest I have Ever Seen(Very Crisp,sharp,and detailed).

But looking over your signature you already possess enough equipment to open your own High End Audio Store.
We can call it:
"Big Daddy's Den Of High End"

Thanks. The screen shots were a good reason to take the camera out of the box.

Since audio stores are dissapearing so rapidly, I should open a new used audio/video store.
