Default So what is the best...

I have some great BDs (in my opinion) that I use to show off my home theater, but I'm sure there is something out there that will blow peoples' minds. I am looking for the ultimate package of sound and video quality. Any suggestions other than what I already have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. And sorry if this has already been posted thousands of times.

Casino Royale, 300, Terminator 2, The Phantom of the Opera, House of Flying Daggers, Pirates of the Caribbean 1&2, Troy, Swordfish, The Unforgiven, Superman Returns, The Fugitve, Happy Feet, The Last Samurai

Pirates and Casino are what people generally suggest for showing off PQ, but since you've got those may i suggest animated movies? A few are already out, and Ratatouille and Cars are coming soon which are sure to be done up right.

Dude, you want David Attenbourough. I like Sigourney as much as the next guy, but I don't consider her voice distinct enough to listen to it for hours on end. Maybe if she had an English accent.

My vote is also for Planet Earth. Not only are the images stunning, but the scenes are spectacular. It is one thing to watch something in hi-def, it is another when you see the phenominal beauty of nature behind it.

No special effects, just sheer power of nature. That alone is worth the price of admission.

You can order it directly from Discovery with the Weaver narration. You will pay full price for it though.

Default BBC Planet Earth FTW

Also Hi-Def Digest reported in their review that the P.Q. was a little better in the BBC version than the U.S. Discovery Channel version. Here is the link to the U.S. version http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/planetearth_us.html. I picked this up myself and is should be here on Wednesday. I too was told that this is one of the best choices for showing off your system. Plus it's perfect for kids and adults.
