You cant, I asked today. Its like all other FS promos. They often do this for games, buy the game, get a hat, shirt, or some bonus etc. On release day for every amaray you buy they will give you the steelbook seperate as a gift. If you want 10 steels, you have to buy 10 amaray. They are not for sale by themselves, and you are not required to preorder. They will just have a box of them, and will give you as needed.

Sorry JW, you will have to re-shrink if people want the disc in the case. I am glad they are not going this route normally, having two seperate pieces is a pain esp for group buys, everyone that buys a steel from me, will also have to accept the amaray that goes with it.

that's why I felt weird days ago when I saw the $60US price. Actually you can buy only the SteelBook online for $60US, but of course no one will do it

Those numbers mean nothing usually, they space out there stock. You'll see the number drop, sell out, more added, sell out again. It's pretty usual activity till about 1 week before release, then they will actually start to sell out.

A question for those that may know... For those of us that preordered at $40.99, do we still get free shipping even though FS lowered the price?

I would doubt it very much as you are not actually charged for it until it ships and I think they will tag on the $1.99 at that time.

Just noticed about that they will give the steelbook when you buy it. That is actually very nice and I wish they do the same for all future steelbook movies. That was I can keep the movie in the plastic case while storing the steelbook in a protective bag with my other steelbooks.
Currently what I do is buy an empty case to put the disks in it.

thanks....i know some steels come out after the actual blu release and i couldn't find a date for this one and didn't want to assume it was the same as the blu.

With all of the talk right now about FutureShop possibly imposing in-store purchase limits, no one really knows right now if they will be able to get extra copies or not. It is all a wait and see game right now
