One person spending a large sum of money on BDs wont make a difference. You need many people routinely purchasing movies to show favor in the format.

I get at least one BD movie a week, with the exception of nine last week.

For instance, HDDVD has Transformers coming out in October and some hope for it to redeem the HDDVD format, but one movie alone cannot keep a format alive. For the one movie that the HDDVD fans buy in October, I ll be buying Day After Tomorrow, 28 days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Evil Dead 2, Robocop, Fantastic Four, Spider-Man Trilogoy, to name only those off the top of my head.
