I really dont think you will see a difference between a 720p and a 1080p set if its that small. The whole distance from the set is for the bigger sets. My parents have a 52" LCD set in the living room and it looks incredible at distances over 20ft. You really dont need to worry about the 1080p unless you are going big. Save the cash and get some blus.
