By your logic, wasn't Sin City Mickey Rourke's movie?

I disagree with you and think you are being too harsh on Czar. Yes, his title did not say "best starring role," but what do you think it is???? It would be like saying that an actor's best movie is the one where he or she was an extra, just because it was the best overall movie that he or she participated in. I think you are arguing just for the sake of arguing, and it adds nothing to this thread.

Also call it what u want but I didnt put Pulp Fiction on purpose as Samuel L. Jackson & John Travolta were the stars and voting for that as Bruce's best movie wouldnt be fair!! Take it for what its worth!! Got Em!!

Czar, I think you're not really being fair to Illandyl. All he was trying to say to show is that sometimes people like movies that are not well-received critically or by other viewers. Such is the subjectivity of film. I do respect you, however, for formulating your own opinion based on your viewing of the film, irrespective of critical reviews. I think that is the best way to come up with an opinion about a film.

I voted for Die Hard, but Sin City, The Sixth Sense and Pulp Fiction are also some of my favorite movies.

As for me, I voted for Die Hard, as I think it is clearly he best film. However, I also liked Unbreakable, until what I consider to be a terrible ending. I think that for 9/10 of the movie, it was quite good. I also liked Armageddon, despite the critical backlash.

Also I would recommend you give 12 Monkey's another try CZAR as the first time I watched it I didn't care for it either, but after watching it again I have much greater appreciation for it. Now I would say its actually a really good movie.

I actually didn't like it very much. To me, it was just too hokey and not very well-written. I can def understand ppl that like it though; it's just one of those movies.

Im just sayin I thought he was using critics numbers to say if a movie was good or not!! I never look at critic numbers for that!! I would rather ask people of my age or everyday people that may like what i like to get a real clue if a movie is good before viewing!! Again regardless of it I wont argue a point with critic numbers is all Im sayin!! But I aint got no prob with illandy, if we was at the bar I would buy him a drink!! Got Em!!

Arguing for the sake of arguing. Sure, you got me, guilty as charged.

I'm asking for consistency. How can the position be that Pulp Fiction is not a consideration when Sin City is? Weren't both an ensemble cast?

I don't think so. Pulp Fiction focused on Travolta, Jackson, and even Thurman, with others being peripheral. Sin City was billed as an ensemble cast and even had Bruce Willis on its movie poster (or one of them). Big difference, imo. At any rate, who cares? It's a poll with like 50 options. Pick your favorite and then discuss.

I certainly would not list it as my least favorite. It is a film that I am conflicted about. My gut is that I didn't like it, but I have feelings that it was very good in some ways.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this issue. Pulp Fiction certainly did focus on characters other than Bruce Willis, but the story arc he was involved in was a major focal point of the story. I don't think that story arc should be dismissed as "peripheral," but that's your opinion and I respect as much.

Both movies are excellent and get my vote as a tie.
