Die Hard is simply the best action film of all-time, without a doubt. It created a whole genre of copycats with its storyline. The Sixth Sense is obviously another classic movie, but it has not had the influence of Die Hard.

Both movies are excellent and get my vote as a tie.

Agree to disagree--there is def no right answer here and I think you're argument is equally as persuasive as mine.

Aliens is the best action film of all time, imo, with Die Hard being second (although Die Hard is not cross-genre like Aliens). I agree that Die Hard has had a tremendous impact, but so has The Sixth Sense--creating horror movies based on mood and a twist, rather than gore and violence.

We've all been debating the merits of Pulp Fiction and Sin City, but I just noticed another omission. Hey Czar, what about Surrogates???

Czar, I'd love to vote, but I can't answer your question honestly without Pulp Fiction on the list.

Too hard to pick.

Really like The Fifth Element, Last Man Standing, Jackal, and Hudson Hawk. The Die Hard series is a given.

As a side note. WTF is the deal with this "Got Em!!" crap at the end of everything?

1. The Sixth Sense
2. Die Hard
3. 12 Monkeys
4. Sin City (although I don't really think of this as a 'Bruce Willis movie' persay)
5. Unbreakable

I think Unbreakable is super underrated - at the time of the release and now. Shyamalan is a douchenozzle to the highest degree but he does have two great modern films in his filmography.

No offense intended but you might be the only person I've ever encountered who liked Die Hard 2 more than its predecessor. Interesting.

Do not get me wrong, DH is a bloody fantastic film and Alan Rickman makes a great bad guy. The only reason No.2 edges out the first is it is a bigger scope of a film. More bad guys, guns, explosions, silly stunts and ridiculous characters. There is just something about it that lets me watch it more.
