For $125, I would also agree that the Onkyo 605 would be a worthy upgrade for you. Your receiver right now, as you are aware, does not handle lossless audio processing, let alone does not have HDMI capability, and it does not do a full 7.1 channels. The Onkyo 605 covers all those bases. I don't know what player you have, but you don't have to worry about losing out on the beauty of lossless audio if you go for this receiver because whether your BD player decodes it or not, the receiver will.
