You missed out my ACC friend. Miami's defense was spectacular and won this game for them. It was a great win for Miami, by the end of the game I was about eight Jagger bombs in.

The unsportsmanlike conduct call on Georgia's A.J. Green was among the worst calls I've ever seen. Unless he said something then he did nothing worthy of that call, especially in such a pivotal part of the game. That call guaranteed LSU was going to end up with good field position and a good chance at winning. After LSU's touchdown there was another bad unsportsmanlike conduct call on Charles Scott but it wasn't near as pivotal as Green's penalty. The announcers were saying it was because the players looked into the crowd. How is that illegal?
By the way, I am in no way a Georgia or LSU fan, so this isn't coming from a homer that's mad his team lost.

I think the NCAA really needs to dial down the celebration penalties. It has become way too strict over the past several years. Football is an emotional game, let the kids show some emotion.

I'm an LSU fan, and I agree with you, that was a complete and utter BS call. That was a huge score in the game, and I couldn't see anything that he did that was unsportsmanlike. Emotions will run high in a game like that and there should be some leniency. He didn't rub it into any of the opposing players faces, or do anything over the top.

Yep, some of the worst calls ever. Also don't forget earlier in the game when one of the other Georgia players got a celebrations penalty after making a first down and he didn't do anything to deserve that one either. NCAA is sucking all the fun out of the game and need to put a stop to some of these dumb@ss calls. Celebration penalties, unnecessary roughness penalties, blown booth review calls, etc. The celebration penalties and all the bs penalties for hitting somebody too hard or barely pushing the quarterback are what is really pissing me off.

It's tough and I feel bad for A.J. Green. The kid scored a ridiculous touchdown (though he might've pushed off...) to go ahead of the #4 team in the country with 1:07 left to go. He tried to run off the field, got met by his teammates, then sort of looked to the stands (it was at HOME), then ran off the field.

I thought Joe Cox had a good zinger after the game. When asked about the penalty, he said something like "I'm not sure what it was, but it must've been something really bad ..."

It should've been something really bad, and it wasn't.

BUT, all that aside, all UGA had to do was tackle at the end of the game to win it, and they couldn't. They let Holliday return it 40+ yards, got a 5-yard penalty on the run, and LSU ended up at UGA's 38-yard line. Then they let the RB go -- he broke like 2-3 tackles -- 38 yards for the winning TD.

It was a helluva game, but a heartbreaker for me and my wife as UGA fans. We sat and dissected the game afterwards, which we never really do. This one just seemed to hurt a little more than the others.

So, after all disclosures re: me being a UGA fan, can someone please explain to me why Oklahoma (2-2) is still ranked Top 20 after losing to now the 11th and 18th/20th ranked teams, while UGA (3-2) is unranked after losing to now the 4th and 15th/13th ranked teams?

Oklahoma beat Idaho State and Tulsa. UGA beat South Carolina (ranked), Arkansas, and Arizona State.

I can't make sense of it.

Sounds like this is going to be Bobby Bowdens final year at Florida State, whether he wants it or not. The chair of the board of trustees said it's time for a change and the school confirmed they have started working with coach-in-waiting Jimbo Fisher to finalize his head coaching contract. I would hope Bowden steps down voluntarily, as it would tarnish his legacy a bit if he were fired. There's no way he's going to catch Paterno for the wins record, especially if the NCAA upholds the penalty that resulted in 14 wins being removed.

Congrats to Gene Chizik for matching his 2 year win total at Iowa State in 5 games with Auburn. To go along with that Iowa State's new coach Paul Rhodes matched Chizik's best season at Iowa State in his first 4 games.

There is no sense in it. This season is proving two things every week: 1. How bogus the polls are and 2. It's all just a popularity contest anyway.

The SEC today admitted the bad call on A.J. Green. Too little, too late, but I'm glad they didn't just ignore it.

This season thus far has been pretty lackluster. I haven't seen one really good team yet. It's all up for grabs this year and of course the stupid polls/computers will decide who gets to battle for the title.

Are you saying that because you truly believe that to be true, or is it because Oklahoma has already lost 2 games and are out of contention for the national title?

I'm going to have to go with LSU for the win. Or at least hoping for it because I just can't stand Florida with every fiber of my being. That and Tebow is really overrated as a quarterback. Good athlete, just not NFL caliber quarterback material.

I hope Florida destroys LSU because I can't stand LSU the same way you can't stand Florida. Unfortunately, it all depends whether or not Tebow plays as well as how well he can play.

I hope Tebow doesn't play because no one can recover from a concussion that quickly. His health needs to be put above winning the game.
