Yeah, CA is hands down better than Florida. But first is the worst, second is the best.

Of course, I've never been to Disneyland, so I can't really compare. I just always imagined it as a trashier version of Disney World.

Funny, I think of Disney World as the trashier, overdone version. LOL.
My girlfriend is from Florida...and had never been to Disneyland either. I took on her birthday and she liked it better (also upgraded the ticket to include California Adventure) than Disney World.

Pretty much how I feel. Disney Land is concentrated win, Disney World everything is so spread out.

But as I said. I'm used to Disney Land so I'm biased.

Disneyland is actually very well taken care of. It always looks nice and clean. A couple of the differences off the top of my head is that Disneyland's version of Pirates is about 7 minutes longer. And they have Indiana Jones whereas World has Dinosaur (both use the same ride system).

I really like the Hopper Pass that Disney World uses to jump between all the parks. The wife and I each have 6 Hopper Passes each left to use with no expiration. It's a great option to see as many of the parks as you want in one day. Start at Magic Kingdom-go to Epcot for lunch-head over to Animal Kingdom for a couple hours-end the day at Magic Kingdom for fireworks!

Also, there are more pictures in the "pictures of yourself" thread, or whatever it's called.
Bah...Disneyland is the original and the one that WALT built. That's all I have to say about that.

I don't really know much about either, but wasn't Walt mad about porn shops and other "unsightly" things being built near Disneyland, so he secretly bought up tons of acreage in Florida to try again, but this time he knew to own all the surrounding land, to prevent people from opening up businesses too close to the park.

100% correct. He was on his death bed in the hospital and he had huge maps of Epcot and the Magic Kingdom taped to the ceiling above his hospital bed. Just going over constructions plans and stuff.

Haha, Walt's awesome.

Did you ever read the book Disney War? I read most of it about a year ago (borrowed it from the university library), but didn't finish it before leaving school. Kind of made me sad to compare the Disney of the last ~20 years with the one Walt was running.

Is that counting Snow White as 1 or 8?

I was referring to Walt Disney the person, not Walt Disney the company.

No.
Did you know Walt Disney is not cryogenically frozen either? Urban myth. Apparently when Walt died, the first man was frozen and somehow the public at large connected the two. He's certainly buried in the ground, here in southern California.

You say certainly as if you know for sure. Have you by chance gotten drunk and tried digging him up? Do tell....
