No, that price does not, and taxes vary across the country. For me it is 5% tax

And that's also assuming the price doesn't come down on release day.

Wow, I am suprised that Michael Bay would do this to his and Transformers "fans". I figured that kind of service would be $50-$60 tops, certainly not $125 !

I am sorry, but I have looked at that site and I really do not think Michael Bay has absolutely anything to do with it. I have no idea who runs it, but it looks like the guy grabbed a post from Michael Bay's blog somewhere, posted it, and then opened a store to sell Transformers 2 Steels at ridiculious prices.

Maybe I am just being harsh ....... but I do not think so

I hope you are not implying that I have anything to do with this. I just found the link on a Transformers site that I look at.

Absolutely not and I am very sorry if I came across that way, my bad. I was referring to the post suggesting that Michael Bay had something to do with trying to sell Transformers 2 Steelbooks for $125US.

Again, sorry.

Cheers

if ppl sold the steelbooks on ebay for $50... i wouldnt understand why they bother....

ebay takes like $7.5 and paypal takes like $2.5 so that means they sold it for $40 so after taxes/shipping(depending where u are and how u ordered) from their inital order they made like $2

It has nothing to do with Bay, as I clearly posted on the forum.

I, the admin of michaelbay.com and s4te am doing this on my own. I have take some time off from work, drive 6 hours to Montreal and then 6 back to buy these TF2 steelbooks. No one is forced to buy them.

BTW, if the TF2 SteelBook was signed by Bay, we'd sell it at 2x the amount.

So what you are doing is pretty much hoarding as much of these SB as possible to make a HUGE profit on them? I can understand AccordTR doing that for his buddies over in the states but what you are doing is really disgusting.

I hope you don't sell a single one and are left with a huge surplus of steels you can't unload.

Wouldn't it suck if they upheld the "1 per person" rule.

What would you do?

Talk about a conflict of interest! Bay seems quite fan friendly and I wonder what he would think about one of his employees profiteering (to an extreme) off his fans. A small markup is OK, but that price is ridiculous. Shame on you.
