You do have a valid point there sir.... touche'

At the point he got hurt in the Kentucky game it was still a 3 possession game in the third quarter so you can't fault them for not taking him out by that point.
Well alrighty then.... maybe it just SEEMS like he never comes out because the announcers can't quit talking about him whether he's there or not.

Can you imagine how much *****ing would take place if two SEC teams met in a NC game? You're absolutely right in saying it probably won't happen until we get a playoff, but as soon as it does....

EDIT: To be fair, I guess there would be just as much complaining if two teams from any conference met in the NC game. Sorry.

The punter would be backup if Tebow doesn't play. Tebow himself has a backup in John Brantley, who would be playing if Tebow doesn't play.

A few posts earlier someone said that Meyers does not want to sacrifice Brantley's redshirt this year.

Brantley is a redshirt sophomore.

Jordan Reed is the freshman.

Oklahoma State star receiver Dez Bryant has been ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season for having improper contact with a former NFL player. The school is going to apply to have him reinstated. This is a huge blow to the school and likely takes them out of the Big 12 title race.

Supposedly he went to Deion Sanders' home and hung out. When asked about it he lied to the NCAA because he was afraid it was a violation but apparently it wasn't. Supplosedly on a tweet (God I hate typing that) Dez claimed that he'll be back.

I guarantee Dez Bryant signs with agent Alvin Parker after the season, who was also Crabtree's agent. Parker is Deion's agent and Parker uses Deion to recruit players for him. Every agent has former and current players that do the same thing.

I think being ruled ineligible for lying to the NCAA is too harsh though. There are players that have done far worse, from DUI's to beating their girlfriends, and they usually get at worse a couple game suspension. I'm not against a suspension for Bryant but ending his career is not an appropriate punishment in my opinion.

you mean Eugene Parker and yes i do agree thats going to be his agent. i don't agree that the punishment is harsh if he broke the rule he should serve the penalty, whatever it may be. its not a coincidence that players involved with Deion are getting in trouble sort of speak. he's a great player but his egotistical attitude will rub off on his "recruits" and be a bad influence. even if he is clean and didn't do anything wrong he is now labeled as a liar and that is a red flag to some teams. also parker as his agent and his associated with Deion is another red flag. draft stock plummeting as speak imo.

Bryant first met Sanders at a restaurant in Dallas and they exchanged phone numbers. Sanders sends Bryant inspirational text messages nearly every day, according to a person close to the situation.
inspiritional texts lol. OSU fans can thank Deion for the inspirition.

You're right about the agents name, I mixed up the names of the agents of the last 2 signed first round picks, with Andre Smith's agent Alvin Keels and Crabtree's agent Eugene Parker.

It's not like he punched an opposing player after a game.

The NCAA might value honesty and veracity more than DUIs and other bad judgments. Sort of like most state Bars. You can have DUIs, etc., but if you lie to the Bar, you're toast.

Does this mean now that UGA is actually one ineligible player and one bad penalty away from being 5-0? (Kidding obviously. They're just as easily 2 plays away from being 1-4).

I heard some clarification this morning on Bryant's suspension on the Dan Patrick Show. Bryant has been suspended by Oklahoma State, not the NCAA. Oklahoma State is afraid that if they use him they will have to forfeit any games he plays in. Oklahoma State is hoping to have Bryant go to Indianapolis on Monday and explain to the NCAA about the meeting with Sanders and get the NCAA to clear him of any wrongdoing, at which point he would be reinstated.

I have to say, that was an immensely satisfying victory over Missouri last night, for me anyway. It was almost like Nebraska was teasing Missouri, then snatched victory from their jaws. Way more satisfying than if it had been a blow out. Oh, and this may be a little homerism and kool-aid drinking going on, but is it possible Ndamukong Suh may finish in the top 10 for Heisman voting. He has been a beast all season!

No chance Suh finishes in the top 10 of Heisman voting. For a defensive player to be high in the Heisman voting he'd have to have amazing stats and while Suh may be a beast his stats don't show it. In addition he has had very little national exposure due to the Big 12's horrible TV contract and lack of big games. For a defensive player to be in the Heisman mix he'd have to have had a lot of preseason hype and the only players that have that were Taylor Mays and Eric Berry.

Suh did have a bit of hype coming into the season. Being touted as a top 5 pick, first team all-american. I'm not the only who thinks he deserves it either...

http://www.fannation.com/si_blogs/fr...ed-for-heisman

I think finishing top 10 is definitely not out of the question. I mean there's been defensive players that have done that before, winning it is another matter. Even though the award is supposed to go to most outstanding player, not most outstanding quarterback.

As that link says while he may be worthy of the Heisman he won't be considered. He would need to put up huge stats, and his current stats (32 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 interception) are rather pedestrian. Stats don't show the true value of a player but for a team like Nebraska who the voters might watch 2-3 times all year he'd need outstanding stats. I'm not debating whether or not he deserves consideration, I'm just saying he doesn't get the exposure or stats to be top 10. According to ESPN's Heisman watch there's 11 current candidates and all are either quarterbacks or running backs.

Bruce Feldman of ESPN agrees that Ndamukong Suh deserves Heisman consideration. If enough big media outlets jump on the bandwagon he might be able to sneak into the top 10, although I can't imagine him being in the top 5.
