Well it would sure make a lot of sense that Warner announced it few months before Xmas.. since some people are actually on the fence, waiting to see wich format wins. So by announcing the winning format, they make much more money and voilà!

I don't get the going exclusive but still going ahead with all the announced titles for the other format. I guess that makes sense but it's strange too.

And,.. Is that protesters picture real? It's real funny that's all I know.

heres my take on this if this was fake it would be more than 24 hours, second he seems like he thinks it for sure not like past posts, and here why i think it is true we would know if he is a repeat, and he would play dumb with us.

They would be smart to do it now as it would save a lot of people the anger of having purchased the wrong hardware... I said this in a post a few weeks ago actually. If they go Blu exclusive.. now is the right time.

Few things I'm going to add:

A)Do not underestimate Warner's appearance with BDA in IFA.

B)Did you guys already forgot about New Line? no HD DVD release dates yet! Region Coding? come on. Warner has no problem with no region coding. How come New Line does? Many companies smaller than New Line are releasing HD DVD's in europe with no region coding.

C)Panasonic is stepping up their effort for Blu-ray. I believe (not sure) they are giving Warner a deal for BD replication. Also Panasonic Hollywood Labs will cooperate with Warner's encoding house on many projects. Take this one with a grain of salt cause I'm not 100% sure here.

D)Some titles new more space to have a great quality. Some "very famous" title is going to prove it come Q2 2008.

Man this has been a busy day. I need a good meal now. If you guys have any important questions, PM me or post it here. I'll try to address it when I get home tonight.
I want to believe you. but I have battered blu syndrome. to many rumors have made me lose touch with reality. I don't even know if i'm awake right now. I read av$ and hdd and get force fed what I know is bs then I come here and find something that makes me sooo happy I can't believe it until I see it and, as I said before, taste it. i've just been hurt to many times.

but if this is true I will love you. like...team america, love you. you know what i'm talking about.

Guy's, ya really want to start looking at what happened within Warner recently, the IFA appearance, the New Line anouncements ( no dates at all for HD-DVD release, just sometime in 2008 ) and how we all know and try to teach HD-DVD fanboys, that the BDA is not JUST SONY, and how they (the BDA) have had a big announcement in the works for a while. Maybe just trust the guy, and see if your dreams come true tomorrow.

Ok,

I'm going to pretend it's true.

I'm certain this will make the hollidays much blu-er. And that's great. I hate the format war. I wish everyone had taken time to determine the better format and the dumb war would have ended long ago.

Thing is,.. what am I going to do without the format war? I may have to get into comic books or something,.. there will definitely be a void of sorts.

lets all calm down and examine the facts

1. New Line is not releasing HD DVD until after the holidays, seems fishy like itll never happen
2. Warner has begun putting PCM tracks on blu-ray
3. Nickerson left
4. Warner said it would examine the holiday season before making a decision, so they'd be lying if they went blu tommorow, but businesses do lie
5. Warner abandoned their totalhd format, so maybe supporting both formats wasn't the best business plan availible.
6. WB was at the BDA conference at IFA but not the HD DVD one.

overall id say there is a good chance of wb going blu exclusive, i just have my doubts about it being tommorow.
