Great GT-FSU, up and down high scoring is always fun.

It's hard not to feel bad for Bowden. I really can't stand Florida State, but the respect I have for Bobby outweighs that. No one wanted to see him have to go out like this, when was the last time Florida State lost three straight conference games? I don't recall it ever happening.

Tennesse: 45 Georgia: 19

Arkansas: 44 Auburn: 23

Though these weren't MAJOR upsets, they were definitely upsets and good games too!

UT beating Georgia wasn't an upset to me. A disappoinment yes but not an upset. I figured if Crompton played well we would lose. The only people on our team who played well were the kickers.

UGA's defense makes every QB look like Joe Montana this year.

Bottom five in penalties, penalty yards, and turnover margin.

Can't figure out if UGA is recruiting the wrong kids, or if the coaches aren't coaching the right kids.

If anyone lacks respect for Bobby Bowden, they ought to do more research and, in addition, watch We Are Marshall.

The guy has impeccable character. Might not be a great college football coach (or CEO) anymore, but he's still a great man.

Official Statement from the NCAA regarding Bryant:

"Recent media reports regarding the status of Oklahoma State University student-athlete Mr. Dez Bryant are wrong and misleading. Contrary to numerous media inaccuracies, the university declared the student-athlete ineligible, not the NCAA. During the process to restore eligibility, schools must submit a request for reinstatement of a student-athlete's eligibility to the NCAA. To that end, Oklahoma State has submitted a reinstatement request to the NCAA national office.

During the reinstatement process, the NCAA staff considers a number of factors including guidelines established by the Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement, any relevant case precedent, the student-athlete's responsibility for the violation, as well as any mitigating factors presented by the institution. This process has not concluded. Therefore any media stories stating the student-athlete must sit out a specific amount of games are merely conjecture without basis in fact."

I agree. I was not a big fan of Bowden until I saw We Are Marshall. Guy is a class act.

At least 10 other people agree with you. They got 10 first place votes this week.

It really doesn't matter if Florida or Alabama is number 1. If they both win out they will play in the SEC title game and the winner will go to the National Championship game. I really hope Texas loses a game just to see who would be the other team in the title game. Would an undefeated Iowa, Cincinnati, or Boise State get in over a 1 loss Texas, Virginia Tech, Miami, or USC? One of ESPN's college football analyst said last night that the only way Cincinnati would get in is if all of the mentioned teams had at least 2 losses because the Big East is considered so bad.

Whatever happens, I hope it's controversial and biased. Anything to bring change.

Funny that the two best teams in the country (Florida and Alabama) have to play a playoff (SEC Championship game) to determine who gets to play the "third best team."

Agreed. University of Alabama and the University of Tebow are the two best teams in the nation right now. The SEC championship this year will be the true national championship game in the hearts and minds of many.... regardless of who plays in the actual NC game.

The unforunate thing is the loser, who will no doubt drop to BELOW Virginia Tech, USC, Ohio State, etc. (because that's the way the idiot voters and coaches do things), will have to play some crappy team like Cincinnati or [insert lame team here] in the Sugar Bowl as opposed to playing a team like Virginia Tech, USC, Ohio State, etc.

So screwy.

It hardly seems fair does it? Well if anyone can break FL's winning streak.... I think it's Bama.

Having watched Alabama, I really believe they can hand Florida a loss in the SEC championship game. If they do, they go on to the NC game. They can beat anybody in the Top 5 (already handed VT their only loss), and the only team in the Top 10 that might really give them a game is USC, and USC has a pretty good record against the SEC.

I think it is the coaches. Richt is a good coach but his assistants are not getting the job done.

Man, if Boise St. wants people to start taking them seriously as a National Title contender, they need to take care of business a lot better than they have the last few weeks.

I think last night pretty much clinched Boise State for an at-large BCS bid (assuming they go undefeated), but no chance at the title game. This was the last decent team they played and they needed to blow them out. I can't imagine Boise making the title game over a one loss Texas, USC, Virginia Tech, Miami, or Ohio State, and think they would get jumped by Iowa, Cincinnati, or South Florida if they go undefeated. It's not really Boise State's fault their schedule was so easy because nobody wants to play them, but you can't justify Boise as a title team with that schedule.

And, to beat a dead horse, this is why we need a playoff. If teams won't schedule Boise State (except UGA ), then they don't get a chance to compete. It's not their fault.

Thats why I hope they see an OSU, USC or Bama/Florida, or even Texas in their bowl game so then people can forget about the 1 time they play the ducks each year, and that Oklahoma game they won without having to play against Adrian Peterson.

Lets wait and see how they do against the top notch schools with all their players in a bowl game and if they win again we'll maybe it isn't a fluke but just watching that Tulsa game it was hilarious to think they could beat USC, OSU, or one of the top Big 12 or SEC schools.
