Maybe I'm overly optomistic, but I am buying this rumor.

We need a bookie here....who's taking bets? =)

I don't know if the OP is someone who registered with a new username and is the same person who sent me the PM's, but I seriously doubt it for reasons that I will not say here.

Bottom line for me: I have a more positive feeling than I normally would given the prior PM's, BUT I will still take a dose of healthy skepticism.
And i will still be so excited as to pee on myself if it turns out to be true.

Bookie? Gladly, go ahead and send me PMs and I'll tell you where to send the bet money. You guys do give out PINS, right?

This would be great if it is true, so I cross my fingers. I dont think it will win the format war but help put another nail in the coffin.

This is true, I'm not sure that it is the last nail in the coffin yet, but if Warner goes totally Blu, there could be even more pressure put on Universal to go neutral--with Para***** being HD-DUD exclusive being the first pressure.

If this goes down like rumored, this will be the biggest and best news for Blu-ray thus far. And people will find it even harder to reason investing in HD-DVD.

Actually you make a great point I forgot about universal I am not sure if that is good or bad. lol but either way it may pressure them to go nuetral due to the financial articles saying companies are loosing money by not using both who knows they may consider it to see what sells more. I am earger, but i know sales speak so I continue my purchasing spree of Blu-ray.

Another nail in the coffin? If this is true, it would mean the hd-dvd coffin is buried, and we've long moved onto the wake where we are all sloppily drunk and someone is scoring with the widow.

If Universal goes neutral, I'll for sure buy the Bourne movies and support them. I wonder if it's time to start selling some DVDs?

Guys, don't kid yourselves. If this is true, this would be the biggest coup yet. There is no bigger studio than Warner. Period.

I have said this before and it is worth repeating: if I could only pick ONE studio to have movies from, it would be Warner. They simply have too big of a (quality) library to be ignored.

Face it: if Warner went HD-DVD exclusive, it would be devastating to BD too.

Hey, don't start selling just because I made those comments. It's wishful thinking still at the moment until everything is confirmed.

I don't know why, but this has a lot of the same feeling as when the Paramount/
DW's rumors started hitting the boards. It would be a very intelligent move for
Warner to make this announcement now, as it would knock a lot of people off
the fence for the holiday season. I am looking forward to tomorrow some long
due optimism

Just noticed again that I was #777...don't think we made 1000 posts by midnight...however, which midnight were you talking about earlier EST, CST, MST, or PST?
