Which New Line and Warner have not taken this year or in the past. I highly doubt they are going to even consider it for the 30th anniversary.

If they wanted, they could have really done up a nice release for the 25th Anniversary box set. Instead you get premium collectables with the first three films including only trailers and the fourth film being the same BD as before but with new coverart.

Well the collectibles are for the die-hard fan collectors so in a way it's a pretty nice release for collectors but for people who just want the movie with the dvd extras included are out of luck.

There is a new film due out in 2011. That presents another opportunity. I think if Laird is persistent it might happen down the road.

I guess I will invest in the collection around Christmas time. Definitely need custom cases though. I really like the way the Star Trek films are packaged. I would package my other collections similarly if I could find nice sturdy boxes in which to store the thin cases.
