Walmart vs. Amazon Price War on books - Blu-ray Forum

They are doing it on the Top Ten Pre-orders, scary is Sarah Palins book is #1. "Most" of the authors are already pretty well off already.

I just read a story that if these kind of price wars keep going over the next couple of years it could put Borders and Barnes and Nobles out of business.

No great loss there. Not a fan of Walmart, but the prices that Borders and Barnes and Noble charge is insane when you compare it with other retailers. Same could be said of Best Buy.

People who buy books from B&N and Borders are

I usually grab the isbn and get it off Amazon for a fraction of what Borders wants. I don't know how they are still in businees. Same goes for how much they sell movies for. Ridiculous.
