List of HD DVD exclusive(in the US) movies available on Blu-ray in other countries - Blu-ray Forum

Can we get a list of these movies, and if they've got an english track/english subtitles available for people who might want to import.

Also if they're region free or not of course.

Germany - 12 Monkeys (english track, region A+B)
U.K. - Bruce Almighty (region free confirmation?)
Japan - Cinderella Man (english track, region free)
Italy - The Interpreter (track, region info?)

One title that I've hear that works here in the states is Universal studios - Bruce Almighty. Uk blu ray title.

Cinderella Man - Japan [English Audio/English Subs?(Haven't checked on my copy yet)]
12 Monkeys - Germany [English Audio/No English Subs]
Lucky Number Slevin - UK [English Audio/(Not sure about subs-don't own a copy)]

Cinderella Man is region free.
12 Monkeys works on A and B.
Slevin has been confirmed on the forums to work on A and B.

I just ordered Infernal Affairs today, China - Region Free.

Anyone know of an English site where I can pick up 12 Monkeys?

To help you out with that a bit

Cinderella Man [Japan] is VC-1 encode and I am almost certain it's a BD50.

12 Monkeys is VC-1 encode and I am almost certain it's a BD25.

You can add Ronin, The Pacifier, and Hostel to the list for Japan, region A.

Edit: Face/Off too, with PCM soundtrack.

I believe that it is not Region Free, but rather locked to region B.

Likely a misunderstanding... there's only a couple territories where it could possibly be released (the 2007 version) on BR, but there haven't been any announcements.

The only BR available transformers anywhere in the world is a BR version of the 1986 movie and I believe it comes out next month (UK).

There's a very very very small chance it'll get released in Korea. I think that's our only shot at a Blu-ray version of Transformers. Paramount seems to have the lockdown on this movie. Kind of like Sony with the Spider-Man movies.

Just in case you are after "Cinderella Man" (Ron Howard's film) and "Hostel" (Eli Roth's film), they are available in Australia.

I still need to check if they are Multi-Region titles. Otherwise, they are Region B (Australia & Europe); and they can be ordered from

www.ezydvd.com.au

Sorry if it's been asked, but what about the other way around? Are there any HD DVD exclusives in other countries which are on Blu-ray in the US? For us Brits and the like.

I think so. For example you can buy Underworld on HD DVD in Germany.
