Well I had last years LN46A630 first and couldn't get a decent panel that didn't have a few dead pixel's so I swapped out to a LN46A750 and the difference was so much better I guess the only bad thing is the 630 was a matte panel and the 750 is a glossy panel. I don't mind the glossy though it gives you a much cleaner picture. I'm currently getting swapped out to a LN46B750 tomorrow so I will let you know on that one but as far as I've heard its a better tv than my current 750. So i will say go for the 750.

Yeah + its 240hz I really don't care about the matte/glossy but I was leaning towards getting the 750 just cause its a good deal 1100 for one + every warranty issue we've had with bestbuy they've rocked it, just taken a week or two with the tv and then cut us a gift card. So thats what I was leaning towards.

I've had my LN46A650 and it has been good to me. Although not 240Hz (it is 120Hz), the auto motion option settings that it does have are nice for animation if you ask me. Since you can turn the setting off, it becomes a convenient option to have. The PQ has been excellent, so I can bet that this years models are just that much better. If you can get a good deal at BB with some kind of warranty, then I would go that route.

Update about 2 hrs ago red dead pixel smack in the middle lol now I don't mind corner (my sharp had a white one in the bottom right and I never noticed it unless I was right up on the tv) but smack dab any dark scene just a red dot lol

Going back to get the LN46b640 since I doubt they'd hand me over a twice as expensive tv ... Tried to snag a great deal and it didn't work out

Also Let me just say samsungs look great! this was my first time with them and other then that red pixel beautiful picture on the 7series I hope the six will be comparable

yeah a 240hz 7series for less then the 6 I was hoping to luck out, but I just can't deal with a pix(red at that!) in the middle of the screen but its cool I bit on something and it didn't work out, now I'll get what I was originally going to get so either way win win

I'm guessing thats why it was an open box because somebody probably bought it saw that dead pixel then brought it back.

Sorry it didn't work out....with open boxes you never know what you'll get. At least you have the right attitude about it. I am sure the 640 will look great too. Just an FYI, but you can turn off the motion enhancer completely.

Yeah, I don't mind I might have had it not been bestbuy since they don't give you any crap (or at least they've never done it to me)

I took the shot cause it was the upgraded model, didn't work so its all good still got a new TV( games are crazy on the samsung's, got back from bestbuy and it only took an hour) and the new ones in the car.

Yeah that was my thought I wondered when I un-boxed it why their was a noticeable finger print on the screen lol I know now, but yeah just like when I return stuff it wasn't their when they hooked it up at bestbuy (so I guess it wasn't dead but stuck, I tried for a few hours last night to get it off even hooked a pc up via hdmi and ran a pixel program)

UPDATE: Got it all hooked up the the 24p looks great with animation, I just ran around the house and turned it on our other tv's I guess whoever calibrated them when we bought them had it set to off.. anyway I'm impressed with samsung's this is my first samsung sine like 1999-2000 when we had a hdtv big box one in our basement.

i have the 750 - got it a few weeks back from bbuy. I was wondering if any of you have noticed that hwne you turn it on after not much use, it makes a clicking sort of sound. I only get it on the first turn on for the day or so. I have had the samsung techy out here to replace the mobo and the power supply. Sooo, now i'm thinking my panel is defective... unless of course this is an issue that is just common and not worry about it. The tv is great... CNET recommends setting the anti-blur setting to 10 and dejudder to 0, but when I do this during 24 playback, i get a lip syncing issue, so has anyone had this issue also??

I just turned mine on Blu and the red light blinks a few times then it makes the chime and boom its on. No clicking here, I do think (but I'm guessing) last night when I had the 750 that It in-fact did click, you could swing by a store and turn it on and off and see if it clicks

well once its been on throughout the day it won't do it (keep in mind, there is the usual click, that occurs like it should) its just in the morning for instance (first time I turn it on since the night before) and it strange kind of scratchy clicking noise; sorry for the inability to describe it... i want to just exchange it, but no best buy in the area has it anymore!

If its a real issue and it starts giving you problems (and maybe you don't need that) They will give you the amount you paid or the best tv in that size/price you paid range.

For example we had a 32'' westinghouse in my brothers "kids room" and had a 3 year warranty 5 months before the warranty ended we took it in they couldn't fix it, so since it was not worth the 900 we paid that 3 years ago they gave us like 800 or 790 for the best tv in the 32'' class and just gave us store credit for another tv.

BestBuys always been great whenever our families had a issue.

If its been awhile they might charge you a restocking fee if they don't think anythings wrong with it but I'd take it up and see what they say (unless you have to lug it up stairs and down hallways like I did twice lol
