In a quiet room, you can hear a slight click at manual chapter transactions that you will never hear with the audio on. The unit does have a fan which you can see if you look at the back, and it is also quiet.

Thanks for your opinion. I may be a little sensitive to low level noise, due to the fact that I design automotive audio amplifiers that I continuously am listening to pops, clicks, and ticks below 10 db spl. So, yes a typical fan that is about 20-25 db spl would bother me. I'm not bashing the unit. I find it outstanding, but this is an area for improvement.
