Nope not available anywhere in Mumbai. This BD has not been released in India as yet . Goodtogo, can u also check independantly pls.

Looks like the members who are posting the screencaps are Reliance Big Home Video insiders who have got an advance copy or are generally trying to drum up some positive response on the websites .

I am actually not in Mumbai, I happen to be going there this week so I might pick it up from there! I think Riaz is the only one who got it from Infinity Mall. Though I am not sure which one and from which shop.

Just got this mail from Big Home Video an hour ago

"The Blu ray’s of Jodha Akbar and Rock On will be available at all the retailers mentioned by you in a day or two. The stores you may visit are: Rhythm House, Planet M – (Pheonix Mills, Fort, Powai, Inorbit and a few other larger stores), Landmark ( Infiniti Mall – Andheri store)".

Just wondering who are these posters and how genuine are the screen caps

judging from the shots;

there is visible colour banding the contrast seems inconsistent & poor.

im trying to ignore the heavy red tints, giving it the benefit of doubt, that it might have been the filmakers intent.

if so, the the post production team need to compare the original film to the DI-colour graded output they come up with...it seems way too tinted, so much that its hard to determine what the original colours might have been like.

its far from a perfect transfer, but definately a step up from the shabby ones we have been seeing.

I bought both JA and Rock On BDs at Chennai. The screens are from the BD. As i said before, the screens are lossy ones and doesn't not show the actual quality but just gives an idea. Big Home Video is way ahead of both EROS and YRF in terms of BDs. Seems, they have been doing it for a while for Hollywood releases in India. Just because its not available in certain areas doesn't mean its not available in other places. Please take time to look around various shops if interested in buying the BDs. Seems its already available in Mumbai too as per other users.

Huh? Not actual quality? Because it's a jpeg? I don't buy it. Why don't you post the 'lossless' still for comparison and show us the difference?

How do you know? Did you compare "Rock On" and "New York" and found out one is better mastered than the other? If so, how exactly is it better?

I have both rock on and New york. The simplest comparision is.. The video quality of both is somewhat okay. Both are imcomparable as both have different problems. The subtitles in New york are shabby but in rock on its fine. The video quality of rock on is okay as there are too much contrast ratio init where i felt it same when i watched in theatre too.. But the side mask looks like shstt. Audio is good in rock on and too bad in New york. The subtitles are greatly positioned and done good in rock on where in new york the edges are too much pixelated.

IMO, Its better just for the reason that YRF is not including HD audio. Do you think they don't have a good audio source for New York movie to include HD audio? I don't have any problem with the video, the source being DPX if i remember correct. Its just a personal opinion, if you feel YRF BD is better so be it.

Default Not perfect-Image area

I could see uneven black bands in left and right side of the image. The information should be full HD 1920.

Does any one reconfirm posted images from compressed bluray material or
original source . However Blacks are gone..........
