USA Questions about a Panasonic DMP-BD60

Hello All! I just got my first blu ray player! I picked it up in a auction for $22 bucks but it was missing the remote BUT it was gonna replace another panasonic dvd player that quit a few wks ago and the remote from it works! so saved me that! I think i got a killer deal! lol! ANyway, i dont have a manual and had a few questions!
I am thinking I need to hook up a ethernet cable to it to update it! but can i use that to watch netflix on it also. I know it isn't "Netflix Ready" but will that work once it gets internet? Is a straight hook up better than a " Wi fi card" hook up?

Thanks all!

imo, wired is better than wireless unless the cable is defective. check this link for the manual

CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, and CAT6A networking cable will work fine also. Not sure why they ask for CAT 7 when CAT6A will do 10GB per second speed and the Panasonic is only 100MB per second networking. Even CAT5E can handle 1GB per second which is 10X faster then the Panasonic. So far only the Sony PS3 BLU-RAY player and computer based BLU-RAY players support 1GB per second networking. All standalone players still support 100MB per second max networking speed.
