Default Blockbuster "2 for $30" deal is back: Transformers, Wolverine, etc

Just went to Blockbuster and they had a bunch of new, previously viewed titles, and they have their 2 for $30 deal back as well. I picked up Crank 2 and Transformers 2 for $30CND. They also had Wolverine and some other titles. Transformers wasn't even out on the shelf yet, i asked to see what was behind the counter and that was one of them.

Did the movies come in the Blockbuster cases or the originals?

Wait pre-viewed 2 for 30 or brand new 2 for 30 and block buster cases or not?

I made an edit in my first post mentioning they are used titles. And they are the original cases. Some of them might be in a blockbuster case, but you just have to ask for a standard blu-ray case and then they swap it for you. I always do this. The slip cover on the blockbuster case is seperate (they put the real BD cover on top of the blockbuster logo slip cover), so they just slip that into a BD case for you.

They were 2 for $25 for the longest time. But with online prices lately, even that is not a good deal considering they don't come in BD cases.

I personally will not buy a pre-used BD from a rental service. $15 each is not bad, but you could get it brand new for the same price if you are willing to wait for a sale.

I check the disc before I buy. I only buy the ones that are pristine on the data side.

well blu rays have an anti-scratch coating, so not much to worry about. And I don't know what you are talking about with these non-blu ray cases. Just ask at the front to have them switched, they keep extra BD cases just for that purpose. Also, in Canada, new movies like this never go on sale for $15, maybe after 6 months they would go down to $20 from $30.
