But I will spend a little Free Time this morning to look over VA,PJ Central, and the PJPeople(whose site I dont know if I have ever visited).

I just look forward to all the projectors that will be going up for sale,as oewners look to upgrade. This is when a lot of people who otherwise couldn't get a Projector will have their chance.

It will be another exciting time on the Forum.

OK guys, gotta go to work...again.....see ya!

Todd's next upgrade

The girl comes with it

Sweet Deal,Thank You crazy.

I have a PB account from about 2 or 3 years ago.So I will have to do some work with them to get my ID and password. But I will get some posted today.

And I have to admit if those are speakers they have an extremely unique design. And sure send the girl right on over.My address is:*****

And didn't you get your screen from the PJ Screen Store ? Or am I mistaken on that part.
Its hard for me to remember all of this over the last month. So many changes and upgrades for so many people.I dont remember them all.

And Thanks Again for the Photo Bucket Info.I will work on it a little later down the road this morning/afternoon.

And Awesome job on re-doing your cables, crazy.Indeed most impressive. As is the subs being fed by your component amps.Just curious on 2 things.

1 = How are you handling a Crossover for the Subs ?

2 = Did you have to do anything to the plate amp to get it out of the way of using the seperate amp channel.
And why do you have them connected to the speaker level inputs.
And I assume the power to the sub is completely cut off during this time.

Am I even close to having anything correct about this?

Yes on where I got the screen Todd .

I have the Receiver handling the crossover on the subs .Its all happening the same way as before , Just using the Emo & not the Plate .

I cut the wires on the inside of the Pate amp where you can hook speaker wires to .Then hooked the Driver to the cut wires . Then hook the wires from the amp to the back of the Plate

I completely understand what you are saying, crazy.

So you are using the LFE adjustment on your Pioneer to set the Crossover Frequency. So that I can understand.

Also you then cut the wires from the inside of the plate amp and connected the speaker level input wires to the wires on the woofer. So that completely bypasses the Plate Amp but allows you to still drive the Woofer via a channel on the Emotiva.

Now doesnt the speaker level inputs have a built in crossover(passive).Thats why you would connect your fronts to the Speaker level inputs and then run wire out from the Speaker Level outputs to your smaller sized speakers.

So how did you bypass that crossover(or did disconnecting the plate amp do that)

And when you connected the Emotiva, did that have a higher wattage rating to either sub then the plate amp had? If so are you worried of blowing the voice coil in the woofer?

When I cut the wires on the Plate amp inside It disconnected everything & is just passing the signal to the Driver .

The PSW125 had A 200 watt plate amp . The PSW110 had A 150 watt Plate amp .XPA-5 is 200 watts A channel.

Thanks again,crazy.
I had thought if they could handle more power then the plate amp provided I would try it with my Polk PSW10.

Disconnect the 50 watt Plate Amp and attach my Rotel Bridged to Mono at 90watts total.
But I better not try that now.I know I would end up frying the sub with my luck.

Default I Love it: "Tals' Home Theater Hangout"

Great thread title Todd my friend. I've thought about doing one myself but it's easier to just visit/read/post in the many excellent members' threads for the time being. Especially as I'm pretty much done with my HT for a while (picking up a new car this week - well, New to me as it's a 2005 Honda Civic) so $$$$$ is going to be very tight for a while with that & other bills. It's a good thing I have plenty of Blurays to get me by for a while, & there's always Netflix or Bl-Buster til' I can buy a used one here or online, right? But I am glad to see you with your own Thread going now. When you get your 84" Elite Screen up & running & the walls & Raceways (<---GREAT Idea as you know) all painted, it will surely look as amazing as it sounds.

Enjoy your morning until you order that screen buddy. Then the hard part begins. Practicing "patience" & counting the days as you track its progress to your house...

Neat idea crazy.......I can see why you did that. I guess there was no warranty to worry about? If so, I'm sure its voided. So have you noticed any sonic improvement from the PSW125 or 110 with the Emotiva running it?

Thanks for dropping by Aero,my Friend .

And Congratulations on getting a Honda Civic. Those are Great cars.Low Maintenance, really safe, and extremely Great Gas Mileage.

So you may have more money left over then you think.Since you will probably save a good deal on Gas and also save a good Deal on Upkeep and Mantainence.

And You are always Welcomed Here, anytime.Consider it one of your Many Homes away from Home,my Good Friend.

That was a good move on crazy's behalf.

The component amps are much larger then a subs plate amp.So they have larger power supplies and a Huge Power Reserve and at least 1 to 2 db's of Headroom.

So he said it has made a change in the Tone of the Subs. And I think it probably Should with the additional Power Reserves.

I was curious Forsberg,my Friend. Are you looking to add any more Posters to your Home Theater Area ?

And do you have an idea of a particular movie or a a particular size of Poster you would be looking for.

Hey Tals, I do want to add 2 more posters, but they need to be horizontal. They will also be placed in the stairwell, as I have a good spot on the opposte walls for them. When I do get 2 more, I think it will be Transformers I and II, if I can find a poster in that shape.

Thanks Todd. I HOPE to get it before this week ends but getting all the paperwork (it's out of state in Mass.) together may end up taking an extra day or 2. It'll be nice to have a car that I know is dependable, will last a while, & get good mileage - tho' i'm not looking forward to 4 yrs of payments again.

Transformers Movie Posters would be Great Additions to your Collection.Especially since you and the wife just watched ROTF on the Projector.

As she ever seen the First Transformers Movie ? If not maybe you can get her to watch that movie with you as well.
Wouldn't it be kind of nice.Have a period of time each week that you and your wife have the Home Theater Cranked up and the Screen Pulled Down.Spending some quality time watching a Movie.

It would be a Wonderful Oppertunity to get a Movie in every week or two. And who knows she may want to buy a Blu-Ray or 2 herself to watch on your system.

And if you get her interested in Home Theater then it would make it easier for you to get her to buy you gifts related to a Home Theater during Christmas and your Birthday(which will be about an 11 month wait)But Christmas is just around the corner.
